Chapter 42: loose ends

While making preparation for the journey to the gremory mansion, rias got restless and decided to walk around for a bit. While walking around, She noticed Kiba, Irina, And Xenovia together, that was when rias decided to talk to them.

"What's up?" Rias asked

"Nothing really." Irina answered

"Were you restless too?" Xenovia asked concerned

"More than you know it. The fact that i have to fight him soon scares me believe it or not." Rias answered with uneasiness

"I know. You've been travelling with us for the longest time and during that time, you forgot about your brother, your nephew, and everything else. You lived with us as if you were still human, without a care in the world. When this is all over, i hope we can continue to do that." Kiba said

"Same here kiba, same here. I want to leave all this behind after this journey's end." Rias agreed

"Well, it's getting late, we'll see you tomorrow." Irina said

Irina, xenovia and kiba head back to the inn to rest. As for rias, she kept walking around town, while she did that, she entered the local bar and saw Sairaorg with Vali, Zaveid, and magilou .

"Hey." Rias greeted

"Hey." Sairaorg greeted

"What's going on miss redhead? Can't sleep?" Zaveid asked

"More or less." Rias answered

"Why not have a drink with us?" Magilou suggested

"I don't know." Rias answered unsurely

"It's just one drink." Vali said

"Alright, one drink but you 4 have to stop me if i try to get another one." Rias agreed

"Alright, hey bartender, one small moonlight please!" Sairaorg ordered kindly

"Coming right up." The bartender responded kindly

A small glass filled with a orangey pink liquid is handed to rias

"It's porange wine. This stuff was popular back in the day." Sairaorg explained

Rias looks at the wine hesitantly but finds the courage to drink it

"Ooh.... this wine has a nice flavour and scent.... this might one of the best things i've had!" Rias admitted with pleasure

"Alright, i think you should leave. Men will take advantage of drunk girls like you at the moment." Sairaorg suggested

"What!? I'm fine! Bartender another!" Rias asked drunk

"No! No! You told us to stop you at one!" Sairaorg said with worry

"When did say that!? I can keep going!" Rias said drunk

"Okay, we need to get her out of here." Zaveid admitted

"No kidding." Vali agreed

" let her have a drink you said. Nice suggestion, Sairaorg." Magilou said sarcastically

"Yeah, yeah, it was a bad idea! H-hey you said that! Not me!" Sairaorg said annoyed

"What? I remember you saying it." Magilou said mischievously

"Can we focus on the elephant in the room?" Zaveid wondered

"Yeah, the last thing we need is a lord of calamity that's been assaulted." Vali agreed 

Soon enough they got rias out of the bar and she snapped out of it shortly after.

"Yikes... that hit me hard and it was only one glass." Rias said with a bit of pain
