O 8 | The Prophecy
King Peter called everyone who were at
different places than he, to the newly discovered cave. They all stood at the enterence, Pevensie's, Eustace, Caspian, King Reginald and Hope. The cave seemed to be very dark, but - like a lightning from a clear sky - flambeau was fired and it was standing on the stone wall. Quickly, the whole row of flambeaus fired up, lighting the cave."What is this place?", asked Lucy, stepping in first with others following.
"Stay behind.", Peter exclaimed, walking over to the wall and took one flambeau lighting up his way.
"I'm not staying here.", Hope gasped, but everyone heard her. She walked to another flambeau and took it, going oppositely of Peter. Some followed her and some Peter, but they went a bit different paths.
"What's that?", Susan asked, pointing at one golden chest, hidden in the corner - next to the gate. Everyone followed her to the place where she was, and Peter came first. He opened the chest and stood there surprised. Above the chest, something was written.
"Queen?", Peter read the title and moved to let Susan and Lucy to see it, as they were Queens.
Girls checked what's in the chest, and Susan gently passed her fingers through the fabric, moving it at the side. Under it, black backpack was laying. It had two pockets, one bigger and one smaller. The smaller one was fastened with a golden clasp. "That's my backpack!", Hope exclaimed, coming at front to see it. Everyone looked stranged at her. "I thought I lost it!", she added taking it into her arms.
"What is it doing here?", asked Peter, as everyone moved a bit from the chest.
"I - I don't know.", she added and sat on the ground, crossing her legs. She opened the smaller pocket, and her things were there. "My earphones.", she whispered to herself putting them back and closing the pocket. She unzipped the bigger one and opened it. In it, she found a dress - it gave her a strange feeling. "I never had a dress in my bag."
"You are hundred percent sure it's yours?", asked Caspian raising his right eyebrow. She nodded, taking the dress out. It was long, dirty blue / gray dress that she never had, and she left it at her side. Her notebooks were in the bag too.
"Everything here is mine, except for this dress!", Hope said, trying to get up. Noticing she's tangled, Edmund offers her a hand a she accepts. She smiles leaving his hand, and taking the dress from the ground. Brunette presses the dress at her chest and checked til where it reached - to her anckles. It fits perfectly! , she thought looking at it.
"Are you sure that the dress is not yours?", asked Lucy coming closer to the girl and the dress, going her fingers through it. "I mean, it suits you well."
"And It's certainly better than that shirt.", Susan joked looking at her shirt which was filled with scratches from the tree. "Wear it!", she whispered at her ear as she came close. Hope nodded and Susan gave boys the look and ordered them to leave the girls alone.
☯️
"See, it's your size!", Susan said as Hope put on the blue dress. It was very comfortable, as it seemed to Hope, and she could walk and run in it without problems.
"Boys, it's clear now!", Lucy yelled laughing as she put lock of her hair behind ear.
Boys, without the King - who left outside -, came in the cave, with gasps of surprise leaving their mouths. They saw brunette standing in front of them in a gorgeous long blue dress with transparent short sleeves - revealing her shoulders - and blue corset with laces to be tied. Her brown hair was left down, it was falling over her shoulders and reached to her waist.
"Let's see what's else in this chest.", she says breaking the silence, having a wide smile on her face. She quickly came to the chest, stood next to the two sisters who came before and right after them, boys came too.
The rest of things in it were papers. Lots of papers. They had many stories written but one of them dragged Hope's attention. "With the blade of the sword
and the death of the lord,
When the chosen one sits on the throne
War shall be over and gone." she read the text from the golden paper, which was ripped at the left side, at the bottom.Everyone looked at her weirdly, noticing what she read right now. "What is that?", qiestioned Caspian looking at the paper above girls shoulder (he was taller than her and standing behind, so he was able to sneak a peek).
Peter shaked his head and lifted his shoulders as a sign of 'no'. "Is there anything else?", he asked.
She shaked. "No.", she stopped to take a deep breath. "Just some kind of stories about the Kings and Queens of Old.", she said but they lookee at her strangely. "A. K . E. - you!", she corrected. They were still remaining silent and she decided to break it. "Anyway, this!", Hope screamed lifting the paper with her left hand and dragging the attention.
"It seemes like a prophecy.", Eustace said and kids looked at him raising their brows.
No shit, Sherlock! , Hope thought moving away from the chest. She got an idea flashing through her head.
