"Peter!", Lucy shouted happyly seeing
that her brother came back. "You've found her!", she added with same amount of satisfaction as the first statement, talking to the brunette. She smiled as Hope smiled back.

"Where was she?", asked Caspian knitting his brows together.

"I -", the girl started her answer but Peter cutted her off.

"She saw something strange in the background and checked it.", he elucidated Hope's escape. "It was nothing serious."

The kids changed the place of current resident moving a bit further in the, so called, forest. They sat around forming a circle, with a King sitting on a rock. He was at the age, I guess. The sun slowly passed behind the hill, but still leaving enough light to see. Golden-yellow and red and orange colours appeared on the sky.

"Let's find some berries for dinner.", suggested Susan standing up. "You want to come with me?", she added talking to Hope and Lucy.

"Fine, but you'll hardly find anything there.", replied Hope rising her brows and tangling her lips into a smile. The two girls, Hope and Lucy, got up and followed Susan to the wood far.

"Su, there's nothing here.", Lucy sounded disappointed with sadness in her voice.

"Not yet.", she added smiling and pulling Hope's hand above her elbow.

"What?", Hope left a little gasp of wonder not knowing what was happening.

"I saw what you did when we were coming back."

"What?", girl repeated raising her voice.

"With your hands...", Susan continued explaining, still getting confused looks of both girls. "Just, stand here and- touch this tree."

"Okay?", she answered confusingly tangling her brows. She stood next to the tree and slowly pressed her hand to it, not knowing what to expect. On the spot where she placed her hand, white sparkles appeared flying around the tree as Hope walked back. The tree, that used to be dry and old, grow high in the air leafing green and blossoming pure pink flowers. Three girls stood in surprise looking at the tree that was filled with life and light now.

"What is this?", asked Hope curiously checking two sisters' faces.

"It seems like magic.", Lucy shouted with pleasure.

"How unlucky I am, it can only mean curse.", Hope added insecurely laughing.

"Do the same to that bush so we can go.", Susan gently ordered pointing the object with her finger.

"Where did you find those berries?", asked Caspian throwing the branch into the flame to feed fire.

"Let's just say a bit of magic helped us.", Lucy said trading a look with Hope who was waving with a big grin on her face.

"What are you talking about?", asked Edmund confusingly. Girls ignored him and others, and just sat down around the fire.

"I'll explain it to you tomorrow.", Hope gasped to Edmund and sat next to him. He nodded and smiled while all of them continued to talk stories that were just coming to their mind. Night was filled with joy and laughter without knowing what could possibly happen tomorrow.

Next morning was dark and grey, the sun was hidden behind clouds. Lucy was the first one to wake up, her blue eyes glared at the sky.

"Susan. Susan!", she whispered shaking her sister's hand but she refused to got up. She next turned to the second closest person to her, Hope. Lucy called her name as the brunette quickly got up in the sitting position.

"What is it, Lucy?", Hope asked rubbing her eyes tiredly.

"The sky! It has never been this grey in Narnia.", ginger girl said worried.

"I'm sure this is normal here.", Hope comforted her hugging her by side. "Let's wake others.", she added with a smile turning around.

"Susan! Susan!", both girls whisper-yelled. "War! Quick, everyone wake up!", Hope screamed watching how all of them jumped in scare. Both girls laughed triumphantly getting the serious sights.

"That is not a joke, Lucy. It's a serious topic.", Peter was giving a lesson to the little girl who apologised.

"Actually, that was me.", Hope said proudly blaming herself. "I know it's serious, but you were sleeping as dead!", she added getting many laughs from the background.

"Anyways, I have some feeling this day is not gonna be a good one." Susan gasped nervously. It actually was an ugly day, but soon they will find out something even uglier that day.

"Wait, do you hear noise?", asked Edmund gathering his brows together. Answers were negative.

"I do. It must coming from there.", Hope jumped of her place pointing with her finger.

"Now you hear things? Are you sure she's not cra-", Eustace started but Peter's shh, again, cut him of.

"What could it be?", Peter exclaimed looking at the King and others.

"I think it's an army approaching.", Hope stepped a bit further to hear better, as six of them looked at her in confusion and surprise. "What, surprises that I'm not deaf?", she added while they snapped and shoke heads-saying no.

"She's right, King Peter.", claimed Reginald getting up in standing position.

"But, what is army doing here?", Lucy screamed worried. "You said that the wood is abandoned!"

"They found out!", he gasped. Others looked at each other, checking the person next.

"What?!", Susan screamed, but the man remained silent.
