Senpai has noticed me... I think.

"So whats first on the list?" Lance asked.

Lance had convinced Keith to go out on a school night to complete some of the things on his list. Keith shrugged in response and pulled out his phone. When Lance had mentioned completeing his list while they went out for food, he was thrown into shock. Hunk had mentioned helping him with some stuff on his list and Pidge wanted to help but never in his life did he consider Lance as an option. Well, it was a suspicion seeing as he had become his mother over the past couple days.

"Uhm... We could see how many egg rolls I can eat in one sitting." He recomended.

There was silence, and then a response.

"Thats on your list?" Lance questioned

"Well, yeah. Why not?"

"So before you die, you want to go to a chinese place, sit down, and see how many egg rolls you can eat before either throw up or pass out." 

Keith nodded and smiled. Lance rolled his eyes and shook his head, sighing and patting Keith on the back.

"You are one special case, you know that?"

"Yeah I know."

The two boys talked and talked on there way to there now favorite chinese place. Everytime they walked in, the men behind the counter knew exactly what they were going to order. Once the two walked inside, the men jumped straight to work.

"Oh and can you add your biggest order of egg rolls to that?" Keith spoke up.

The men nodded and retreated back to the kitchen. The roommates sat down at a nearby table; Keith eyed Lance cautiously. Maybe it was all just a set up.

"Lance, can I ask you something?" he quizzed.

"Yeah sure, whats up?" Lance didnt even bother to look up from his phone.

"Why are you being so nice?"

That sentence was what caught Lances attention. He dragged his eyes away from his cell phone screen to meet Keiths grey eyes. They were sincere, and Lance couldnt tear his eyes away. He wanted to lie, but something in him made him choke at the thought.

"Its because im dying isnt it?" 

"No, no thats not why!" Lance blurted out. How could he think that?! "Im being nice... Well have I not been nice in the first place? If i have, i excuse myself.... But you've been there for me in my own time of petty crisis, so its about time i return the favor during your very real one."

A small, affectionate smile grew on Keiths lips.

"Thank you." he said, before turning his attention to the food coming their way.

The man set down the food.

"Qǐng xiǎngyòng" he said with a nod.

"Xièxiè" Keith responded, before looking to Lance.

Lances mouth gaped open.

"You know chinese?!" he exclaimed, but not too loudly so the other customers could hear.

"No." Keith replied, putting a piece of Orange Chicken in his mouth.

"Then what the hell was that?!" 

"Chinese."

Lance facepalmed and sighed.

"You just said you dont know chinese."
