The Truth

The Beginning

The young girl watched The view from the window of the helicopter until the helicopter gently lands on the ground. The girl and her 'comrades' gets ready for what's ahead.

This young woman is Lyra, She's a convincing woman and the only female in the mission but regardless she decide to take part of it. Most the males tried to intimidate her by saying that woman should stay out of men's work, but she didn't care. Joining this mission for her to be a soldier was not the reason.

She had other reason or... Intention. She took responsibility for her true mission and convince that she will do it no matter what.

Once the helicopter lands, she grabbed her backpack and jumped down, she looked around only to see a lot of trees and the forest was thick so thick that you could barely see what's in the distance. On top of that, the trees were tall, taller than she tough it would

It wasn't long before everyone got to a building that looks to be around for quite some time with all the Vines and moss Clutching onto the metal wall. Everyone including her, headed inside and got settled. The leader of the base had Everyone stand in line as he gave orders. It wasn't long until he sees Lyra.

"I'm guessing you're one of the newest member? Well I am Lucas and I bet you already figured that I am the head leader of the base"

She looked at him and said nothing but nod and listening carefully.

"You must be Lyra, Jon told me about you. Honestly I Never expected for a woman to be joining this mission but I won't complain and judge you for your choice so therefore i'm giving you a special job here. I need you to guard the entrance over to where the forest starts. You should already know where that is since you saw it on your way here. Anyway... Get to work mates! We have no time to waste!" Leader Lucas walked into another room as the rest marched off to where they were ordered to go.

Lyra headed off to the forest and stood at the entrance. She waited for a while when she decided to remember the event.

*Flashback*

"Lulu slow down!" Lyra shouted at the blue hair girl as they both have their wings out and flying in midair at night.

"Alright!" Lulu wanted to stop flying forward only for her left wing to get shot causing her to fall from the sky. "Lulu!" Lyra saw her friend get shot and tries to save her by flying down to her but she was cought by humans.

'Lulu are you alright?' Lyra uses telepathy to her friend in worry, 'I'm fine but my wing is not, and these guys saw my wings before I could make them disappear' Lulu responded with a bit of pain her voice from her injured wing.

'i'm going down there to save you' Lyra was about to fly to her but Lulu stopped her 'No! I sense a lot of humans near here, it would be risky for you to be saving me now. Go and leave and save me some other time!' Lyra hesitate but she nods and fly away as Lulu was captured and got trapped somewhere.

*End of flashback*

Lyra sighed, the day had finally come for her to save her friend. She had been standing on the same spot for two hours. She didn't complain about this since she knew the leader this did because she's a female plus she doesn't care.

As she is waiting and standing for a few minutes, she decide to venture out than standing on the same spot doing nothing.

She doesn't know why but she feels this forest spiked her interested, She went a meters away from her spot to look around the forest. She noticed how beautiful the forest is but what makes her feel strange is that, there's barely any animals here other than a few insects.

She then heard something from the woods but it sounded as if it was coming from the treetops. She looked up to see nothing but leaves, some of it had dried off and some are still alive and healthy.

She feels the wind blowing her long dark brown hair. She sense someone else here, she looked around to see there are other males outside of with armed weapons which made no sense since there's hardly any dangerous creatures near here.

Without hesitation, she Slowly walked inside the deep forest. Sticks and leaves were crunching under her feet. She kept walking and Hoping she could sense her comrade presents somewhere.

Cautiously walking she saw something white. She walked closer only to see a human skull, a normal human would have been scared or freaked out once they sees it but for Lyra she didn't give a single reaction to it as if she had already seen a human skull before but it did shows her that there's something in this forest that could kill a human.

She slowly backs away from it but backing up to something or... Someone?

She heard small clicking noises? She looked back to see a strange human-like figure. It wore a mask, had greenish skin, with net armor around it's chest and things with a tan cloth wrapped around it's waist. He also had a muscular, bulky figure, indicating it had to be a male and what appeared to be dreadlocks sticking out of the mask. She slowly walked back to see it more clearly.

She raised her gun and aimed it at him even though she doesn't want to hurt this creature. She didn't hesitate to put her finger on the trigger. Normally, anyone who sees this creature would be intimidating but to her, she sees it as not so intimidating.
