The creature stands there, staring at her. Lyra titled her head and lowered her weapon, she feels the wind blow her hair sway with the wind as the sun made her violet eyes stand out showing her appearance more clearly. The unknown creature withdrawn it's blades as he knows that she had lowered her weapon.
She doesn't know if she should be afraid or confused at this but yet she feels safe. She knows that this creature is nowhere near human. All she could do was stare at him, a normal female human would be staring in awe at it's feature but to her it's nothing special. The creature cocked it's head to one side showing that it's curious.
Lyra was about to say something until she heard someone calling her, she turned to see one of the members walk over towards her. She looked in front of her once more to see the creature gone. It just vanished in thin air. She was a bit confused and shock to how on earth it had manage to disappear that quick not even she can disappear that quickly.
She was snap into reality once the member was near her "Miss Lyra, Is everything alright out here?" He asked in a low voice as he looked around cautiously. She looked at him and shook her head. She knows if she tells them about the creature, it will be in danger.
"I haven't saw anything.." She reply with a low voice as if she had no interest in talking to him. He only nodded at her response and walked back, leaving her alone. She waited until he was gone and out of sight.
She wandered off into the forest more, looking around while trying to sense her comrade presents as she is holding her gun close to her. All she could see are trees and many exotic plants and flowers, they look beautiful and interesting even though they look nothing close to the ones on earth. She sighed in annoyance not because she's having a hard time finding her comrade but when she met the unknown creature.
She kept thinking of it, she's either doubting that it's real or it is real. She take a deep breath until she saw a stream, she take off her combat boots and gently let her feet into the crystal clear water. She can feel the stress lifted off of her shoulder. She looked at the sky to notice the sun seemed to be fading along the trees, making the sky light a purple and dark blue color.
She looked at the sky as she sees the sky slowing turning to night, she remembers how much she love to see the beautiful night sky. A few minutes later, she put on her combat boots again and starting to walk back to her station and forgetting about the 7ft creature.
There was no need for her to tell the others about that creature since she doesn't want it to be in danger because of her. She sighed until she heard a loud explosion coming from the base. She sees the smoke and runs towards the base. She sees the base in flame until something pounced up from the flames. There's a dark grey serpent like creature. (They look like this and idk how to explain it)
More of them started to be visible in the remaining sunlight that peeked from the trees. She aimed her gun at the serpents, she sees 4 in sight so it shouldn't be hard for her to handle. She shot them all with green substance splashing out of them. It didn't take long for her to figure out that these serpents had acid blood once the substance hit the tree and the ground.
They screeched in agony as she keeps shooting at the 4 serpents without them noticing her. It didn't take long for her to kill them. As she was about to leave the base, she heard more screeches as more of the serpents came from behind the building or the shrub. She slowly backed away, knowing she can't fight all of them with just a gun and because she can't use her powers here.
She looked at them counting 20 of them. The serpents slowly crawling towards her with clear drool dripping from their mouth as they hissed. She decide to turn and ran, she could clearly hear them howl as a few ran after her.
The forest was turning dark from the night sky, she would have been trip on something if she was a normal human. Luckily for her, she can see in the dark so she can dodge trees and jumped over logs. She continue to run as she continue to dodge trees and rocks, she hear the hissing and growling became louder and louder even with the amount of running and dodging she did.
She feels her heart racing, she needs to survive this for her friend. As she was about to use her power to fight them while she's running, all of a sudden she got pushed from the right side of her and was lifted off the ground. She felt someone's strong arms wrapped around her. She looked up to see the same humanoid-like creature. He was carrying her bridal style, holding her tightly as he was running.
As he continues to run, Lyra look to where the creature is running only for her to see a dead end on the other side. She decide to use her powers secretly, she created a fire barrier in front of the serpents to make them stop chasing them. The serpents stopped once they saw the fire and started to hiss from anger.
The creature stopped running once he saw the serpents no longer chasing them anymore. The creature gently set her down and she looked at him with confusion on her face. She hears small growling noises coming from him as she peered around the area, hearing more screeches in the distance. She sighed in annoyance, she didn't think it would end up like this.
She looked back at the creature "Thank you for saving me..". The creature's growl became slightly louder then he looked down at her feet. She looked confused at first and then looked down to see a huge cut on her feet, blood flowing down her feet to her combat boots.
