Finding the base

Lyra felt her eyes open only to still be greeted by the darkness of the night sky. She already knew the nights were a bit longer so she didn't mind. Ahn'thei felt Lyra's head lift off from his arm as he looked over at her. Lyra's eyes adjusted to the surroundings seeing that it wasn't as dark as before but still dark enough. She yawned and got up and stretched while Ahn'thei sat and watched her.

She looked to see small purple fire around the cave to make it not too dark and to make the cave feel warm. She made them disappear and the cave return to it's usual state.

"Alright, Ahn'thei. We should get going while we still can" Lyra stated as she looked over at Ahn'thei. He only stared and didn't say anything. He still didn't think that going out now is a good idea and it still could be risky.

A sigh escaped from his mouth and out of the metal helmet "It's still too risky.." The translator went off once again. She felt her heart pang, she can't risk waiting any longer. If anything horrible happened to her comrade, she will feel like she had failed her and she couldn't bare to see her comrade hurt... not after what happened.

".... I'm sorry, Ahn'thei but.. i have to do this to you" She respond with a hurtful tone feeling that she doesn't want to do what she's going to do but she had no choice. (Play the song now) She started to sing a beautiful lullaby

Ahn'thei slowly felt his eyes closing as Lyra continue to sing, he tried to stay awake but unfortunately he failed. Now he's completely asleep, Lyra noticed this and stopped singing. She picked up her bag but before she walked out of the cave, she softly kissed the Yautja's forehead. Once she walked out of the cave, she looked at Ahn'thei one last time and summon her wings and fly to one of bases as her wings leave a few white feathers once she took off.

Lyra's POV

I felt my heart aching when i did that to Ahn'thei but i had no choice, I understand that he's trying to protect me and to keep me safe but i need to finish my mission fast and if i wait longer, i'm going to feel horrible that i got distracted than rather doing my mission to save my comrade. As continue to fly a bit faster towards one of the bases, i felt something wet and warm flowing down my face. Tears. I kept thinking what i did to Ahn'thei and felt really guilty for it. I wiped my tears as i was still flying in the sky.

It began to be a bit brighter now. The cold breeze was blowing my dark brown hair as i continue to fly above the trees. Even though, Ahn'thei never told me where one of the bases are, i read his mind secretly about where the base is before i left which made me feeling even more guilty.

As i was flying, i remembered something from the back of my head. When i was being carried bridal style by Ahn'thei, i noticed '006' was carved into his arm. It doesn't take a detective to figure out that he was been experimented before by someone, in which case, Humans. I keep thinking the thought of what those humans did to him when he was still being experimented, it made me sick to think that they would do this to a creature like him. 

'Once i get there, they will pay' I thought to myself, they need to be punished for doing awful things to the creatures they had experimented on. I felt an uncertain feeling inside my heart for Ahn'thei. Why am i feeling this? Why am i acting like this? I felt my heartbeat beating fast as i keep thinking of the times we spend together. For all he has done to me, i couldn't stop. I didn't want to keep thinking. My face is probably red as a rose right now so I shook my head to forget those thoughts and continue fly towards the base. I saw the base a few feet away.

I sense Lulu's presence nearby where the base is, i slowly land down a bit far from the base so i won't be noticed by the humans. I can feel the pain my comrade is enduring right now, i felt my blood boil from it. I heard footsteps coming towards me. I quickly hide my wings before the footsteps reached me.

"Who's there?!" A male showed up from the thick trees and shrubs with a gun loaded and ready. I put my hands in the air knowing it was the people at the base i saw earlier. "Don't shoot!" I hollered. "I'm not a threat, i need your help..." I fakely pleaded. They took a long look at me before lowering their armed weapons. They seem to realize who i was, at least.

"Come with us" The black haired male ordered. Not wanting to waste his time nor even mine, i scurried along next to him. I followed the man as he took me inside the base. 'Ahn'thei should be awake by now...' I thought to myself before entering the base.

Ahn'thei POV

I slowly felt my eyes opened only to be greeted by a small light, i groaned and sat up until i realized that Lyra isn't here. She must have put me to sleep! i quickly go outside to see white feathers on the n'ithya(Ground). She must have used her wings to go to the base but i never told her where it is. She must have read my mind to find the location of the base.

What happened to me? Why did i have that weird feeling again? It just hit me out of nowhere. Why am i feeling worry for her? I ignored my thoughts and sprint to the base. As i dodged every obstacles. I feel uneasy I'm not fond of being around a lot of Oomans and i don't think i would let that happen again, especially at the closest base, or the one i know of. But she could be in danger in that base, she may be a demon but she could get hurt or killed.

As i keep sprinting and dodging all of the obstacles, i remembered something. When she showed me, her wings. I noticed that there was a mark at the end of her wings where it came from. She told me that some oomans shoot her when she was flying in the sky. She fall down to the n'ithya, the oomans found her and cut her wings by force. Her comrade heard her scream, she looked to see her own comrade's wing being taken by Oomans. Her comrade manage to take back her wings and heal it back to her body.

Remembering it, made me feel anger inside me. Lyra must have been feeling so much pain when those oomans forcefully cut her wings and leave her wounded. I can understand why she was desperately wanted to save her comrade, she saved her and now it's her turn to save her comrade.

I reached to the base, i used my invisibility that was installed on the wrist gauntlet. I smell her scent and was leading to the entrance of the base. I felt hatred for that place. Never again will i want to go in there, not after what happened. They were the reason i am more of a rouge and living on my own. But i couldn't fully blame them, when it was also my own kind that betrayed me. But that doesn't matter to me anymore, i will only stick around for Lyra. Hopefully she manage to save her comrade and that she leaves as soon as she can. As much as i hate it here, i will wait. I will wait for her.
