Not the only one

Lyra's POV

I woke up to feel the cold wind made contact with my skin, i was fully awake withing 2 seconds after i woke up. My arm felt something next to me, i turned to see the human-like creature beside me and my head was resting on his arm. I sat up to yawned with him jolting his head back towards me. I rubbed my eyes to look around, it must be dawn outside.

I decide to go outside only for him to grab my arm and stopping me from doing that and i hear him growling, i looked at him for me to noticed that he had took off his metal mask. He looks... Interesting, he had light greenish yellowish head and piercing yellow eyes with sharp-like teeth. It's head had small black spikes and long black dreadlocks with bronze and silver attachments on. They went down to his neck as he went to grab his mask.

While he does that, i manage to run out of the dome without having him to notice me. I continue to sprint as fast as i can into the forest until i was out of breath, i lean against a tree and take a lot of deep breaths.

I looked around to see the dome no where in sight, i sighed in relief. Once i manage to get catch my breath, i hear the sound of someone just jumped onto a branch and it sound like it was near me. I looked around to see nothing, but i wasn't convince that there's nothing here. I close my eyes and concentrate on sensing the souls around me only for me to sense a soul that was on a branch and watching me.

This soul was the same one like that Human-like creature, but i know too well that this isn't him because there's no way, he could catch up to me in that short amount of time and this explains how that creature manage to disappear in thin air when i first encounter him. I sighed in annoyance and walk towards the same tree where that creature is standing.

I stand near the tree and looked up to see something blurry, i knew it was that creature but i noticed that there were two. I can feel them watching me but i decide to pretend i didn't see them so i turn to continue to run. But as i was sprinting and dodging the obstacles along the way, i hear them following me as i was running. I pull out my gun, as i was sprinting i looked behind and shot at one of them causing some sort of blue electrical wire to show. It didn't take long for me to noticed that i shot the metallic wrist thing that the creature was wearing on it's wrist once one of the creatures was visible.

The other one turn visible as well, they back arched and growl at me possibly signalling me that they're mad. I don't have time to be fighting with them but i can't run away since they will find away to catch up to me. One of them uses a net gun at me, i manage to dodge it but the other one just jumped down and charge at me with his wrist blade out. I manage to take out my knife to block it in time.

They both growl and i need to end this quick, I pulled the creature arm that had attack me with his wrist blade for me to kick his abdomen. He clutch to where i had kick him as the other one was charging at me, i waited for him to come closer as he was close. I grabbed his arm and throw him at the other one, they both growl but before they could stand up. I hit both of their heads with my fist hard to the point they fell unconscious. My knuckles started bleeding but i manage to regenerate after i make sure no one is near me to be able to saw me.

I sighed in relief and ran towards the same base that had blown up. There's something need to check.

Yautja's POV

As i was putting on my mask, i turned to see the female ooman isn't standing on her spot anymore. I felt worry filling my emotions, i need to find her or the kiande amedha or my kind will try to harm her. I turned on the invisibility so no creature can see me.

I sprint out of my home and ran into the dto(Forest). I jumped onto one of the branch, i smell her scent and i followed it. I jumped from branch to branch as i follow her scent, as i was following it. I saw two of my kind laying dhi'ki(Unconscious) on the n'ithya(Ground). I jumped down and see that their had been hit by something but what surprise me is that, they had the ooman scent on them.

Did that ooman did this? that couldn't be possible, i had arrive here for a few minutes. A ooman can't defeat a yautja that ki'cte(Quickly) unless they have many army of them but that female ooman had no comrade besides herself. I will think of that later, i continue to sprint while following her scent. Her scent leads me to the base that had exploded, i walked inside to find her coming up from downstairs as she is holding a wrist gauntlet. She turn her sight to me, she had an unsure expression on her face.

Lyra's POV

As i was downstairs that seems to be a lab that had been destroyed, on top of that, there was a corpse of a dead scientist that had his chest bust open and i saw were big grey eggs with the top of it had been opened in another containment. I see five of the eggs inside, i looked at the scientist. He had his chest including his ribs being forcefully opened by something. But this unpleasant scent of flesh and blood is making me want to puke.

I looked around the room and found files of that human-like creature since it had it's picture on the side, as i was walking into an office i read the files and found out that they're called Yautjas. They have an aggressive nature, by skinning their prey alive and being very violent to any enemy. Their technology was far beyond the humans understanding was being studied. They act as tribes and have their own language which was also being studied.

The first thought was they were really interesting to learn about. I put the files inside my bag and went to the containment, i was about to go upstairs until something shinning caught in the corner of my eye. I looked to see the same metal wrist gadget that the yautjas were wearing, i picked it up but didn't put it my bag. I sense the yautja that saved me coming towards the base, so i went upstairs and saw him at the entrance. He looked at the gadget i was holding, i noticed this and i went up to him and give him the gadget in which he snatched it from my hand.
