The accident

My name is Josie Green. Up until April 7th 2010 I was a normal 15 year old girl.

I remember the Day as if it were this morning. The worst part is it were this morning.

April 6th 2010,

Josie's pov:

"Mum please everyone is going to be there" I screamed. "It's the most important party in Brookstone Highs entire history."
"Josie I already told you, no your not going. It's unsupervised." Mum told me calmly.
"Yeah there's no adults, but we're old enough to be responsible" I yelled back.
"For gods sake Josie your 15, your not going to that god damn party" mum yelled finally losing her temper.

I knew from past experience that theres no point continuing once mum starts yelling. "fine I'm going to my room" I said as I tried to contain my anger. As I reached my door my phone started to sing 'California gurls, we're undeniable, daisy dukes, bikinis on top'. without even having to look at the caller ID I new it was my best friend Emily she loves Katy perry so naturally that was her ring tone.

As soon as I hit the accept button she began firing question my way. "What did she say? Can you come? Am I going to have to sneak you out ?" I immediately smiled at her her last question It was the perfect idea, and my room was perfect too, the gum tree out side my window was perfect to climb down. "oh my god Emily, your a genius! she said No but what should I wear" then a thought came to me "oh wait Em how are we going to get there, we can't drive" "don't worry about that Alyssa said she'd drive us. And you have to wear that black dress you bought last weekend." Em rushed out all in one breath. Alyssa is Ems big sister and only the most gorgeous girl alive. So I'm not surprised she's going to the party. It does surprise me she doesn't have a date though.

I heard a muffled bang from the other side of the phone "oh shit Jace hide in the closet." I chuckled hearing what Em said, she was a total party girl and some of her outfits were a bit controversial. But her parents are totally overprotective though and check on her all the time. Jace is Emily's boyfriend they've been dating since forever but her parents don't know about him so he sneaks in through the window all the time. I wish I had a boyfriend like Jace, he's a total hottie all the girls at school drool over him, but he only has eyes for Em. He's also super protective of her I remember this one time last year when one of the line backers of the varsity football team we're trying to force them self on Em, he got into a full on fist fight, em has been completely infatuated since.

After a minute or so Em was back on the phone as If nothing even happened. Although from what I was hearing I think Jace was trying to initiate a make out session or something, her quick departure solidified my suspicions.

After my phone call with Em ended it was only 1pm since it was Saturday I'd already finished all my homework last night so I decided to just watch a movie. I must have fallen asleep because when I woke up it was almost 5. I didn't realise I was that tired. it took a while for my brain to comprehend what the time really was but once it did I freaked out the party started at 7 which was kind of early but most people would aim to be fashionably late.

Once I finished panicking I calmed down and jumped in the showering washed my hair with the delicious smelling strawberry shampoo Em gave me from her dad's new hair care range that he created. After I was all done I jumped out and quickly walked back from my on suite and into my walk in closet. it took me a few minutes to find the dress I was looking for but once I did I put it straight on.

Before I did my hair and make up I thought I would try and cover all my bases. I quickly chucked my robe on over my dress and hurried down stair in search if mum and dad. when I finally found them they were curled up on the lounge with my little brother Jake who's 14 watching some fashion show. To be honest dad couldn't look less interested and Jake was just smirking down at his phone. As casually as I could I walked up to mum and dad and told them I wasn't feeling well so I was gonna have an early night. After giving everyone kisses I strolled away casually until I was out of sight and ran to my room.

It was currently 6:15 Alyssa and Em we're coming at 7:00 and it would take at least half an hour to get to the party, depending in the traffic. Once I got to my room I was glad my parents chose sound proof walls, so Jake could practice playing his drums without disturbing us. Making sure my door was shut I quickly blow dried my hair and styled it into nice loose curls as opposed to the pin straight look I usually had. It was only 6:40 so I still had time to make my face look presentable. I'm not really the type of girl to wear lots of make so I just settled for some concealer on my spots, black mascara, clean lipgloss and a bit of brow eyeliner on my upper lid.

By the time I was completely finished and ready to go it was 6:55, Em would be here any minute. I soon got a text saying that Alyssa parked the car I couple houses down. I grabbed my purse containing my phone,ID, and some money along with my leather cut off 'bomber' jacket, once my door was locked and the lights were out I headed for the window. Climbing down the tree was a little tricky with heels on but I managed.

I snuck out the front and down the street to Alyssa's car when I got there Em hopped out of the front seat and wolf whistled. I did a quick 360 turn, I was wearing a skin tight black peplum dress which reached my mid thigh, as well as my black pumps. Once I was done Em did the same, she had her blonde hair styled up into a cute messy bun which was no doubt Alyssa's handiwork, she was also wearing a tight blue sleeveless top that had a cutout in the cleavage area, she paired the top with a black high wasted skirt with a little gold belt and black pumps. she looked hot if I do say so my self. Em did her makeup pretty much the same as me except she had a bit more black eyeliner than me.
We stared at each other in shock for a minute before snapping back to reality when Alyssa taped on the window.

The car ride went by pretty fast and we arrived just after 7:30. I have to say the party was a bit of a fail at the start with people just sitting around until a DJ arrived. I don't remember much from the first half of the party (vodka and I do not mix). Once I sobered up it was about 10pm the music was still blaring and people were all over the place dancing, myself included until the music all of a sudden cut out everyone looked over at the DJ and immediately ran standing there next to the music system was about 8 policeman. I too turned to run but as I went someone pushed me over all I felt was pain at that moment, my ankle was already starting to swell and I knew something was wrong. I tried to get back up but I just couldn't put any pressure on it, and before I knew it I was in a squad car on the way to the hospital. when I arrived at the hospital my parents and brother were already waiting for me.

I was quickly rushed into the emergency theatre and had my ankle operated on. When I woke up from the surgery the first thing I saw was my parents, but they weren't their cheerful happy selves, they looked worried and distraught but most of all disappointed.

I was only in the hospital for one night and was discharged the next day. the car ride home was tense, my dad was driving,mum was in the passenger seat, and my brother and I in the back. The last thing is saw before the accident is the look on my brothers face as another car came barreling into our car head on.

The nurses won't tell me what condition mum and dad are in, because I need to 'rest' and not stress. But that's easier said than done. They did tell me that Jake is okay with just a few broken ribs and collar bone. Jake and I are sharing a room now, we've been in this hospital room for three days now and only Emily has come to visit us but we get out tomorrow. I can't wait to get home and see my family... suddenly the door swings open and my thoughts are interrupted by a glum looking man in a lab coat walking in followed by a few nurses. without saying a word the nurses opened the curtain and pushed Jakes bed right up next to mine and the man sat on the chair in front of our beds. "Hello kids my name is Dr Schmidt, I'm very sorry but I have some bad news.... About your parents" Jake and I both looked at each other and visibly paled. Mr Schmidt continued " I'm sorry kids they didn't make it" "your only living realative is your dad's sister so you'll be living with her.... In Cheshire...England. The doctor soon left and It took a full two hours of crying from my brother and I before we said anything. Jake spoke first "but aunt Edna hates us she hates dad to."
