And on July 22nd, is the birthday is third year, AKA the #1 idol in the world, Nico Yazawa!

Sorry about the oh so late entry, was busy all day, and trying to get caught up on anime I've missed. Even so, I wanted to get this entry in while it's still her birthday, even if it's July 23rd where you live at. Anyway....

Nico is one of the nine main characters of School Idol Project. Despite her appearance of that a child, she's actually a third-year at Otonokizaka High School. Her image color is pink, and alongside Maki Nishikino and Eli Ayase, she's a member of Bibi, a subunit under Muse.

She makes her debut in Season 1 Episode 5, Nico tells Honoka and Kotori to break up Muse before running away. Honoka and crew were trying to form an official club as they have enough members to do so. Unfortunately, they couldn't, as there was another club, the Idol Research Club, and its sole member happens to be Nico. So they go to her to consider merging the two groups, which she refuses. It's later revealed in the same episode by Nozomi that two years prior, she formed an idol group, but set the bar too high for the other girls, and one by one they left, until it was only Nico who remained. After some thinking, Honoka and Muse decides to join the Idol Research Club to learn how to improve Muse, and asks Nico to become their coach, to which she happily accepts.

When normal, Nico has an abrasive personality, and tends to clash heads with first-year Maki Nishikino. When taking on her alternate personality, she's a happy, upbeat character who's always smiling, using her signature catchphrase, "Nico Nico Nii!", accompanied with a pose. She thinks highly of herself, but has shown to care. She's often ignored throughout the series whenever she claims to be the better idol. She was even president of the Idol Research Club before she passed the torch to first-year Hanayo Koizumi.

Nico is known to get annoyed with student council president, Eli Ayase, as she's convinced her fellow third-year classmate took away the spotlight with her beauty and maturity. It's been revealed in Season 2 Episode 4, that she has younger sisters named Cocoro and Cocoa, and a younger brother named Cotaro. Did you know that Nico's voice actress, Sora Tokui, also voices her younger siblings? And as a bonus, besides voicing the #1 idol, you might've known her as Hideri from Blend S.
