It's finally happening... After seven long (but amazing) years of protecting your country, you can finally go home. There's just one thing... Only three people know. What kind of soldier would you be if you didn't plan an epic coming home surprise for your friends and family? So, before you left, you managed to reach out to two of your brother's—Mark—closest friends, Sean and Felix, as well as his girlfriend, Amy to help you in your mission.
Currently, the strategy is to meet Felix and Sean in L.A.—where they flew for a stream they convinced Mark to do in order to ensure his reaction would be on camera—for later scientific studying, of course—and wait for their cue, as you're hiding outside. Amy's job is to make sure the rest of Mark's friends (Ethan, Kathryn, Tyler—she even convinced Bob and Wade to fly out) were present and that your brother (and Ethan—he's not the greatest at keeping secrets like these...) out of the loop. You continue to run the plan through your head until your plane finally lands at LAX.
After you've collected your bags from the baggage claim, you start searching for them, knowing they'd be in some kind of terrible disguise due to their popularity. They were. And the disguise was a lot better—in a hilarious kind of way—than you'd hoped.
The two 28-year-old man-children, each had on a pair of glasses (with the nose and mustache on them) and were dressed in clown suits. As you approach them, you start to comment on the strange apparel, but Sean cuts you off before you can, "Don't ask. There were donations made and dares that came with them. This was our compromise."
You burst into a fit of giggles that continue as you give each of them a hug hello. "How did you manage to leave without anyone noticing?"
"Well," Felix begins, "Amy assisted us in our get-away by sending us to get lunch. I don't know how believable the lie was so... We stopped on the way here and actually picked up food even though that wasn't something that was supposed to happen."
"Then let's get going before they get wonder why you guys have been gone so long." Sean then leads to way to the rental car and puts your bags in the trunk.
Even though the ride should have been less than a few minutes, traffic gave you an extra fifteen to calm your nerves. Although it wasn't as long as you would have liked to prepare, it was enough to keep you from getting sick in front of at least ten thousand people—not including some of your closest friends.
You finally arrive at the office, you're told to wait in the car—with bags of food they "forgot"—until one of the three text you. Minutes later, your phone pings with a message from Amy.
Peebles: I think we're ready Y/N
You: Okay, heading up now.
You make your way up a couple sets of stairs, burritos in hand. The farther up you go, the more you can hear the joyful jeers, laughs, and yelling of your friends, and the wider your smile gets. You send one last text to Amy telling her that you're at the door.
You pull up the stream on your phone and plug in your headphones. You then see Amy give Felix and Sean looks of recognition before saying, "I'm gonna go grab the rest of the food real fast since you guys are busy here. Be right back!"
"What, are our cakes not good enough for you, Amy?" Mark quips, looking up from his... Masterpiece, as he would so eloquently put it, if asked.
The door swings open, nearly hitting you. Luckily, no one saw you standing there—everyone was too enthralled in a very serious bout of cake decorating to notice.
You're nearly knocked over due to the giant bear hug the scrawny brunette tackled you in. "It's so good to see you again, Y/N."
"You too, Amy," you whisper back, afraid someone would hear you if you were to speak normally. She gives you one final squeeze before letting you go.
Both of you turn back toward the door barely a foot in front of you. "You ready, Y/N?"
"As ready as I'll ever be..."
Out of habit, when Amy opens the door, most of them look up from their piping bags, and then do a double take when they see you follow in after her. While the rest of the rooms jaws were on the ground—excluding Sean and Felix, of course—as soon as he sees you, Mark runs over to you and lifts you up in a giant hug.
"Mark—can't—breathe—too tight..." His grip makes you sound like you smoke about ten packs a day, but you can still manage to squeeze a short, "Let—go," out of your currently non-existent lungs.
He loosens his grip slightly, but doesn't put you down until the rest of the group approaches, demanding they get to say hello too, Kathryn behind the camera recording the whole thing as they do.
After everyone has made it through—including another massive hug from your older brother—you all make your way back to the table, and explain to the viewers what just happened.
The rest of the stream is spent finishing the cakes, playing tons of stupid—but hilarious—games, and sharing embarrassing childhood stories; some about Mark—like the time he thought he was actually going to die from drinking a sip of rancid milk—, some about you—nothing specific. Just how you tried lying to your parents about sneaking out by saying that every Tuesday night from midnight to two in the morning, your body became a pile of pillows because you stepped on a witch's precious enchanted flower. Yeah... That happened... Not your proudest moment...
Finally, it's time to sign off, allowing you to spend some much needed time with your frie—No. Family.

Two updates in one night?! I know... It's nearly impossible to believe, but it happened. Hope you guys like this one!
