Forty-two days until my birthday.

The landing of the plane jolts me awake. My eyes dart open and I look around.

"Glad you could finally wake up," Jami says next to me. "You were practically attached to me."

Truth is, every time I fall asleep, I have the same nightmare as the one in Peter's room. Every night, I see them die. Over and over again. Even if I just doze off, the nightmare begins. I don't tell Jami, so as not to worry her. But when I wake up in a cold sweat every night, it definitely is very tempting to tell.

"I get lonely when I'm asleep," I mumble, standing up and stretching my arms. Everyone around me does the same.

Once we get off of the plane, there are paparazzi waiting for us. My sunglasses shield my eyes from the Cincinnati sun. God... I haven't been here in forever. Jami and I link arms, our bodyguards keeping us from being trampled. [Yeah, I know you were supposed to meet Tom in Queens. But Gold Star comes first]

One voice stands out from the rest.

"How did it feel to watch Peter die?"

I stiffen and turn to the cameras. "Who said that? Which one of you asked me that?" A hand raises above the heads. "Come here." The person does as I tell them and makes their way to the front.

It's a man. Soft blue eyes, grey swirling in the deep pool. His blond hair is a bit messy, but not ugly.

"Repeat your question," I say. He looks extremely nervous now.

"H-How did it feel to w-watch Peter die?" he asks again. I grab his collar and pull him toward me, my lips crashing on his. I pull back after a few seconds and bitch-slap him across the face. Then I slap him again and step back.

"That. That's what it felt like," I whisper. People around me are screaming, trying to push past the guards. I turn back to Jami and walk quietly past her.

I grab my suitcase off the conveyer belt and drag it behind me as I keep walking toward the exit. I clutch my side with the free arm and keep my head low.

"Wait! {Y/N}!" Jami yells behind me. I keep walking anyway. She catches up to me, placing her hand on my shoulder and spinning me around to face her. "What was that all about?"

"It's nothing," I mutter, trying to turn back. But her grip is firm. She searches my eyes for a small opening.

"How about we talk about it during Gold Star?" she suggests.

"Fine," I agree, turning back to the exit.

We finally sit down on the bed in our hotel room and relax. I turn the T.V. on and look at her.

"So..." Jami drawls. "That was an interesting scene." I open my mouth to say something, but the T.V. placed on the wall behind her catches my attention. A picture of me kissing the man is large on the screen. A woman's voice rings through my ears.

"And today {Y/N} {L/N} was spotted at a local airport in Cincinnati," she says. "This picture was captured as she was kissing one of the fans. Does {Y/N} have a secret relationship? Will she reveal this publicly or try to keep it a secret?"

"Hey," Jami soothes. "Ignore them. Most news stories don't get the real thing. They just get what they want and push it on you."

"I know," I sigh. "But it's so frustrating. They don't know what really happened."

"Well, I don't either," she comments. I roll my eyes and pull my phone out of my pocket as it vibrates. [ Evan(escence)=Chris Evans & Me=You]

My plane just landed. Where are you? :Evan(escence)

Me: new phone who dis?

 What? :Evan(escence)

Me: God... Old people are dumb

I am confusion :Evan(escence)

Me: Okay now I love you again

So where are you guys? :Evan(escence)

Me: At our hotel. Where else would we be?

Okay. Meet me at the front of the zoo. :Evan(escence)

Me: You got it, boss!

"That Evans?" Jami asks, flipping through the channels.

"Yeah," I nod, standing up and putting my phone back. "C'mon. We're going to the zoo."

"What about Gold Star?" she asks as she turns the T.V. off.

"Later," I reply.
