Paige sat on the grass, gazing at the river silently, tears in her eyes. Everything had been fine at first... that's what she intended. But now she didn't have the money and now she and Amarys were lost. Paige didn't know what to do. She gripped her arms as it started snowing. Everyone else was worried about her as she had been outside for half an hour but she had told them that she was fine and that they had children to look after. Tears started to fall as Paige's eyes glowed a bright snowy white color. "I promise... I'll do better..." she whimpered, her shoulders shaking as she let out a sob. She laid down and curled up into a ball, letting the snow cover her back and hair. It wasn't long before she slowly cried herself to sleep, her thoughts filled with ways to run to Amarys and ignore all the hurt and pain.
