Stevie's head whipped towards the door, seeing the door shake a bit as someone knocked. She tossed her text book off her lap, slowly, and with no motivation,  made her way to the door. She opened it, sighing as she came face to face with Lindsey.

   "Hi." She breathed out.

"Hey." Lindsey frowned at her. She was wearing sweat pants and a t-shirt, her hair up in a bun. "You're not ready?"

"I'm not going." Stevie clicked her tongue.

Lindsey chuckled, shaking his head. "Alright, well then we'll hang out here." He invited himself in to her apartment, leaving Stevie standing in the door way; baffled.

She turned around ready to yell at him, only to see him with a bouquet of flowers in his hands.

    "These are for you."

"Thanks." Stevie hesitantly took them, setting them aside. She starred at him in confusion, her hands on her hips as he made himself comfortable on the couch. "What are you doing?"

Lindsey shrugged. "I don't know, what are we doing? You don't want to go out, so we'll hang out here." He patted the cushion next to him.

Stevie shook her head in disbelief. "You're unbelievable."

"Oh come on... Just you and me, alone." Lindsey winked at her.

"I'm getting dressed." Stevie stalked towards her bedroom, Lindsey smirking.

............

Lindsey held her hand, Stevie not minding one bit, as he walked her towards the building. Her eyebrows were drawn together in confusion. It was just a plain, brick building.

    "What is this place?"

    "I told you, The underground."

Stevie was still confused, letting him lead them inside. Her heart was racing as he took her down a dark hallway, subconsciously holding her hand tighter.

Reaching a staircase, she gave Lindsey a look. He grinned back at her and squeezed her hand tighter.

Stevie couldn't deny the anticipation running through her body, the tingle running up her spine as they walked lower  and lower. The stairs ended and she came face to face with a steel door.

"Is this where you take all the girls on a first date?"

Lindsey smirked over at her, biting the inside of his cheek. "I didn't know this was a date."

Stevie's cheeks turned bright red, slipping her hand from his. She met his eyes, arching an eyebrow. "It's not."

Lindsey shrugged, the door sliding open. They were quickly lead in, Stevie stunned in amazement.

It was a whole different world.

Black lights were the only source of light, Stevie feeling the bass through the floor boards. Crowds of people were jammed in to the bar, a live band playing. Vinyl booths trailed along one wall, a shiny bar on the opposite. There was a smoking section in one corner, cigarettes and pipes securely in their users hands.

"I've never heard of this place!" Stevie stood on her toes, yelling in Lindsey's ear.

"That's why it's called The Underground!" He yelled back at her.

Her eyes scanned over, her heart racing seeing people doing white lines off a glass table top; others tying a band around their arms and injecting a needle in to themselves.
