The room was spinning, Stevie's tiny hands clutching the kitchen table in a death drip. She feared she was going to be sick, or faint if this continued to go on for much longer. She could hear the people around her, but she couldn't make out any words; just noise on top of noise.Keeping a tight grip on the edge of the table, she stumbled slowly until she could brace herself against the wall. She slumped against it, her vision going in flashes. She tried to call out; to anyone. But her voice came out as a squeak, no possibility of it being heard over the loud music.
Her leg buckled out from under her and she nearly tripped, her stomach lurching when she felt a pair of hands on her waist; steadying her.
"Stevie darling, are you alright?"
She felt Ruperts lips move against the shell of her ear, shaking her head. "Where's....Linds...Lindsey?"
"He's around here somewhere. You're looking a little pale, why don't I take you to lie down?"
"No." Stevie shook her head furiously. Despite the desire to get as far away from this man as she possibly could; she slumped against him, unable to carry her own weight anymore. "I want him."
"I'll take you to him. Don't you worry." He had started to lead her through the crowd, keeping an arm around her waist as he practically dragged her along with him. They approached the stairs,
Rupert taking a quick glance around before helping her up the steps. He veered her to the end of the hallway, pushing the bedroom door open. Her feet were dragging along the carpet as he carried her to the bed, letting go of her and watching her bounce carelessly on to the mattress. Her eyelids felt like they were being weighed down with cement blokes, fighting desperately to keep them open. A small whimper left her lips when Rupert locked the door, retreating back to the bed. He climbed on top of her, clenching her jaw in his hand and forcing her head down so he could kiss her.
Stevie wanted to recoil, to smash her fist against the side of his face. But she couldn't move. She gave a weak struggle, her body moving sluggishly as she tried to push Rupert off of her.
"Please don't.." Stevie managed to whisper out, already slipping out of consciousness. She fought to stay awake, feeling his hands sneak under her top and caress her bare skin. Within seconds he had removed her shirt, covering her small body with his larger on. He pinned her arms up above her head as he began to kiss his way down her throat, Stevie passing out.
...............
'I should be enjoying this' Lindsey thought to him as he tried not to get irritated at the stripper
on top of him. No matter what he did, he couldn't enjoy himself. His mind kept flashing back to Stevie, shaking his head as he gently pushed the woman off his lap."What's the matter honey?" The stripper tried to get back on his lap, Lindsey standing up to avoid her advances. "Done so soon?"
"Look, you're beautiful and all, but I'm not in to this."
"Whatever, come find me if you change your mind." The stripper blew him a kiss before prancing off, Lindsey rolling his eyes. He ran a hand through his mess of curls, doing a mental role call of all his band member's in the basement. Nearly sprinting towards the stairs, he burst through the basement door, seeing the party was still in full swing. He took a sigh of relief, snatching a drink from the nearest waiter and throwing it back. Quickly grabbing another one, he pushed his way through the crowd. He bumped in to someone, looking up and feeling relieved. A familiar face.
"Bob! Have you seen Stevie?"
Bob snorted, a bubble of laughter erupting from him. "We tried to warn you dude."
