Her dilated pupils starred back at her as she leaned over the mirror. Her mind was buzzing, holding the rolled up 100$ bill to her nostril and snorting the long line of white dust laid out in front of her.She threw her head back, her eyes clenched shut as she gripped the edge of the coffee table in her hands. Lindsey did a line too, seething and rubbing his nose, he rubbed the excess along his gums, zeroing in on Stevie.
They had locked themselves in a room at a party; at some guys house they didn't even know. Stevie giggled as he climbed over her, her head falling against the pillow. They could hear the music loud and clear from the party outside the room, the bass vibrating the floor boards.
"You're really hot."
Stevie kissed him, her arms wrapping around his neck, her fingers tugging at his hair. She spread her legs, letting him lay on top of her, hooking her knees around his hips.
"BUCKINGHAM OPEN THE DOOR!" The wood frame vibrated as someone knocked on it, Stevie and Lindsey bursting in to a fit of laughter.
"Go away!" He shouted out, kissing Stevie.
"Stop fucking and get your ass out here!"
Lindsey groaned, rolling off of her. They got out of bed and opened the door, Brian stumbling in. "You guys are missing a rockin fucking party."
"We were busy."
"You two do it all the time, but how many times do you get to meet the Eagles?"
Stevie's eyes lit up, clutching on to Lindsey with excitement. "They're here?"
"I saw one of them."
Stevie grabbed Lindsey's hand, pulling him in to the party. In the crowd of people she spotted none other than Don Henley, pushing through people to get to him.
She caught Don's attention immediately, barely noticing Lindsey besides her. "Hello." He flashed her a smile.
"Hi. I love your music." Stevie grinned back at him, her cheeks burning. She felt like a school girl, fawning over the drummer.
"Thanks. What's your name?"
"Stevie."
"Nice to meet you."
"Like wise." Stevie grinned at him, their eyes locking. Lindsey cleared his throat, placing a possessive arm around her waist.
"I'm Lindsey."
"Cool." Don barely took the time to look at him, settling back in on Stevie. "You're a pretty little thing."
"Thank you." She giggled, Lindsey feeling a hot rage bubbling through him. Grabbing Stevie's wrist, he started dragging her through the party. "We have to go."
Stevie went wide eyed, stumbling along with him. He shoved his way outside, her taking the chance to pull free.
"What the hell was that about?" She threw her hands out in front of her, taking a step away from him.
"He was hitting on you!"
"So?" She looked at him as if he'd lost his mind, seeing him boiling with rage. "Lindsey he called me pretty! That's not that big of a deal!"
"The guy was practically eye fucking you!"
"How is that my fault?" She looked at him incredulously, her eyes bulging. "I have no control over what he says or does, you need to cut it out with this jealousy shit!"
"Do I have a reason to be jealous?" Lindsey stood tall, his arms crossed as he glared down at her. Stevie's mouth dropped open, shaking her head in disbelief.
"You are unbelievable. Un. Fvcking. Believable." She annunciated each word. "I am here with you Lindsey, I gave up everything in my life, for you! I have never given you any reason to doubt me."
Lindsey sighed. He was high and intoxicated, his rationality gone. "I want to go back to the hotel."
"You can go back, I'm staying here. I'm having a good time."
"Having a good time with Don?" He spat out.
Stevie's eyes widened once more, her hands placed firmly on her hips. "I don't need to defend myself to you. I'm going back out there, come find me when you get over your ego." She slammed the bathroom door behind her, Lindsey clenching his first.
