Lucas isnt Lucas anymore

Maya's POV

"Maya! Help!" I heard Riley scream. "Get away from her Ranger Rick!" I screamed and pulled Lucas off of Riley. "Why would I, Maya? She did something. I would never forgive her!" Lucas yelled and slapped Riley. "She didn't do anything!" I yelled. Riley fell to the ground. "Maya...." Riley said, looking up at me. "Yes Riles?" I said. "Maya... I... I've got something to tell you...."

I woke up and saw Riley looking down at me. "Good morning Peaches." She said. "Morning sweetie." I replied. I then thought about my dream. "What would've Riley do for Lucas to act like that? What did Riley have to say to me?!" Riley interrupts my thoughts. "Peaches, it's time for breakfast." She says. "Okay sweetie." She takes my hand and we walk down towards the kitchen to where we see Corey and Topanga. "Good morning girls." Topanga said. "Morning Mrs. Matthews." I said. Riley sat down and I sat beside her. "Maya you've been asleep for a while, what were you dreaming about?" Riley asked, looking me into my eyes.

Rileys POV
Before I woke up Maya I went through her text messages. One was from Farkle. "Maya, I know something's going on with you and Riley." I read, "I know you two love each other. I'm also a good friend of Lucas. Lucas has been acting up lately, it's like he's hiding something." Oh no, does Farkle know what happened with me and Lucas? I mean I didn't mean to hurt Lucas, but I like Maya. And now he's acting weird?
I look at the other message. It was from Lucas. "Hey Maya. So do you know what happened to Riley. First she liked me and now she doesn't. Please reply."
Oh no.

"What were you dreaming about?" I asked. "Umm well, it had Ranger Rick in it, and also you." Maya said stuttering. "Maya... was Lucas acting weird in your dream." I asked her. "Yeah. Actually." Maya said. "Look at your phone Maya." I told her.

"So what you're telling me... is that my dream is true?" Maya asked me. "Yeah it must be." I told her. "May I ask, what did you do and what did you have to say to me?" Maya asked me. "Maya... I .... I broke up with Lucas. He's now mad at me because of it." I told her, "And.... I love you, Maya." "I love you too Riley." Maya told me and gave me a hug. "Ranger Rick will move on eventually. I won't let him hurt you." Maya told me. "Thank you Maya." I said. We finished our breakfast and headed to school.

Maya's POV
When me and Riley were walking to school, I spotted Lucas. He looked meaner than usual... I took Riley and head her behind the building. "Lucas, I haven't seen her." I heard someone say from the other side of the school. "Keep trying. She has to be here somewhere." I heard Lucas say. "What do they want from me?" I heard Riley question quietly. "I don't know sweetie. But if it's bad I'll protect you." I whispered. I took her around back and we entered Mr. Matthew's room. Yeah, of course I'll go to him for this. "Mr. Matthews, Ranger Rick and his buddies are trying to find Riley. Who knows what they want." I told him. "I always didn't like Lucas." Mr Matthews told me.

I left Riley with her dad for a while so I can find Lucas. He was at his locker with some other jocks. They were laughing and doing whatever. I knew if you'd join the wrong people you'd end up like them, bad and rude. "Hey Friar. What do you want with Riley anyway?" I yelled. "Oh Ms. Hart. You're in this too?" Lucas said with a smirk. "No wonder Riley doesn't like you anymore. You became rude." I said, "Who'd blame her?"

Lucas pushed me to the wall. "What do you want Maya?" He said. "I want you to stop acting so stupid." I told him, "Riley doesn't deserve anyone like you. She deserves me." "Love isn't hurting people. Maybe you never loved her."

It wasn't too long until Mr. Matthews came to find me. He found me on the floor from where Lucas left me. "Maya!" Riley said rushing towards me. "I'm okay Riles. He didn't do anything."
I told her. "Why is Lucas acting like this?" Riley asked. "I don't know Riles. You probably hurt him a lot." I told her and she rapped her arms around me. "I didn't know Lucas could end up this way." She said with a tear falling from her cheek. I wiped it off with my finger. "It's okay Riles. If he really is the nice guy he'd come back." I told her. Mr Matthews helped Riley lift me up. We headed towards our next class. Of course I saw Lucas again, hanging with his jerk friends and laughing their stupid heads off.

"I can't believe Lucas can be this way." Riley told me. "Me either Riles. But it's okay, I'm here." I told her and pulled her desk closer to me.
