What?!

"I didn't know you two were friends!" Maya said. "Haha, yeahhh..." Riley said. "We are, I can't believe she didn't talk about me! We were seriously good buddies in Kindergarten. We also dated in 4th grade because I've been having a crush on her ever since." Joshua says with a smile and hugs Riley. "It's nice seeing you again!" Maya looks at him with an evil look and grunts. "Maya, let's hang out with Joshua! You two could get to know each other better!" Riley said, taking me by my arm. I gave her a fake smile and Joshua nodded. "How about this evening at five?" Joshua said. Riley smiled and nodded. "Five sounds great!" She added.

We got home later that evening. Riley spent the whole two hours shopping for clothes that she probably wouldn't wear. I don't get why Joshua means a lot to her, he just seems like a normal guy.

"Maya, how does this look?" She asked me while twirling around in a white dress. The dress had a blue bow around the waist and went halfway below her knee. "It looks good sweetie." I told her with a smile. "Thanks Maya." She said. Her eyes lit up when she heard a knock on the door. "That must be him!" She yelled as she ran to the door. I followed slowly behind her, low key biting my tongue. She opened the door and there he stood with a smile. He wore a blue suit with a blue tie, blue slacks along with blue dress shoes. Man, this guy must love blue. Riley hugged him and said, "I love your outfit! Come in!" He looked at me, gave me a big smile and sat down on the couch. "I've been waiting for a long time to hang out with you again!" Riley told him. "Yeah, I missed hanging with you." He said. Riley sat on the couch beside me, smiled at him, then looked at me. "When me and Joshua were little, we always loved to go over to each other's houses. It was like we were siblings, we'd pretty much always be over every weekend." She explained, then looked at Joshua. "You've grown up to be a musician. How is that!?" Riley said to him. "Haha, I don't know. It just kinda happened." He replied, "so, what's for dinner?" "How about Topanga's?" Riley said with a smile. She then took my hand and he got up. "Okay." he said as we headed towards the door.
