Riley's POV

The next morning I woke up to the sun shining through my window. I got up to look outside. I saw that every car would rush by in a hurry to get somewhere. I walked over to my nightstand to pick up my phone. As the bright light flashed on, I saw that it was ten thirty. I put my phone into my back pocket and rushed downstairs. Mom had already left for work so I sat down at the table. Dad and Auggie were eating dinner when I heard a knock at the door. "Riles, Riles open up!" I heard Maya yell. "I'm coming!" I hollered, running to get the door. When I opened it, her face lit up like the sunny sky. She hugged me so tightly and said excitedly, "Riles! You won't believe what happened last night!" "What is it, Peaches?" I asked as I invited her in for breakfast.

Maya's POV

As I ate, my nerves shot up like a train's engine right before the train takes off. "Riley, I came out." I told her, trying to calm my nerves. "Peaches! I'm so proud of you!" She told me excitedly and gave me a hug. Mr Matthews then smiled and said, "Maya, this is amazing." "Thank you, Mr. Matthews. That means a lot to me." I tell him with a smile. I've never felt this much positive emotion in my life. "How did it go?" Riley asked me. "Well, she told me that she wants me to be happy." I tell her. "Awww Peaches! That's so sweet of her!" Riley said cheerfully as she wrapped her arms around me. I smiled. Seeing Riley happy makes me feel so many different emotions at once. She's so special to me that I don't want to mess up this moment for her even though mom doesn't fully accept me yet. Just seeing a smile on Riley's face makes me happy.

"Peaches! How about we celebrate at Topanga's? It'll be a celebration just for you!" Riley told me. "Just for me? No Riles, this should be for us." I told her, pulling her in for a kiss. "Yes, for us." She whispered and kissed me. "Who should we invite, then?" She asked, curiously. "That's up to you, sweetie." I told her with a smile. "Okay!" She said, shooting up out of her seat and running towards her room. I ran after her as she opens the door and jumps onto her bed looking for her phone. Searching through her contacts, she invited some of her friends. "This will be amazing, Peaches! Just wait until everyone finds out!" She said while sending out a group chat message.

The message read out: Celebration at Topanga's around five. I hope to see you there!
