Chapter 12

As soon as the doctor came into the room with Boris and Aleksei close behind. I watched as he leaned down to where she was lying at and pulled out a small bottle from his white cotton coat pocket and opened it and moved it back and forth across Hailey's nose. As soon as the smell went up her nose, I saw her eyes blink rapidly. She looked at the doctor and gave him a confused look for a few seconds and then asked. "Why is everyone standing around me?"

I looked at her still worried about her and said. "You passed out on me a few seconds ago. And scared me half to death."

"Sorry about that, Draco. I didn't mean to scare or worry you. It's just that everything that I heard a while ago was bit overwhelming for me." She said as Boris helped her into her chair.

"It's fine. Just please don't do that again. Please." I pleaded as I leaned back against my pillow.

I moved my arms toward Hailey, urging her to come and sit beside me on the bed. Once she noticed me I watched her stand up and leaned up against me with her head laying against my shoulder. As she continued to lie against me, I noticed that she looked a bit pale in the face I stroked my hand against the side of her face and brushed several strands of her blonde hair away from her face.

As soon as I did this I felt her snuggle up closer against me. The warmth from her body felt nice against me and then soon I noticed that she had fallen asleep. While she slept I looked over to Aleksei and Boris and quietly said. "If that is all that I need to be told right now. I would like to be alone for a little while, if you don't mind."

I watched as they shook their heads in agreement and then followed the doctor out of the room, closing the door behind them as they left. Once they were gone I wrapped my arms around Hailey and took a much-needed nap. However, a couple hours into my nap. I noticed that Hailey wasn't beside me anymore, so I got kind of curious about where she had gone.

Getting up out of bed I gently walked down the hallway, trying to make as less noise as I possibly could. But, when I got to the end of the hallway in the Voronin compound. I noticed Hailey walking in through the doors with a small plastic bag in hand and Boris close behind her.

I was curious about what was in the bag. But, not curious enough that I was going to hound the girl over it. I walked back to my room and waited on her to come back to my room. Going back to my room I sat down on my bed, grabbing a folder that contained the information that was collected on Vincenzo. That I had Aleksei leave with me so that I could go over.

About twenty-five minutes later, I watched as the door to my room opened and in came Hailey. And I knew that something was up with her considering the look of nervousness that I was getting from her. As she walked closer to me I noticed that she was holding what looked like a plastic stick in her hand.

I had a strange feeling that I knew what she had in her hand. But, I figured that I would wait and listen to what she was going to tell me. She closed the door behind her and then walked over to my bed and then sat down what she was holding down beside me.

As soon as I looked down at it I instantly knew what it was, a pregnancy test and it was positive too. Seeing that I felt a wave of happiness wash over me. I looked up at Hailey and pulled her into my arms and grinned the biggest on my face. I was over the moon with how happy I was.

Once we separated from one another I noticed that she still had that look of nervousness on her face and asked. "Sweetheart, what's wrong? Aren't you happy?"

"Of course, I'm happy, Draco. It's just..." She stopped mid-sentence.

"It's just what? Hailey." I asked worried about what she was going to say.

I watched as she took a deep breath and then finished what she had been trying to say. "It's just, damnit Draco. I'm scared to death about this. I'm scared that I won't be a good enough mother to my child. I'm worried that I won't raise him right. I'm just scared about a lot of things. That's all."

I shook my head a little at her and then said. "Sweetheart. You'll be a good mother. I know that you will. I believe in you. And trust me I'll always be by your side the entire way. There is no way that I'm going to abandon my girlfriend and my child. That I promise you."

"Thank you. Draco. You don't know how much this means to me." She said happily and then quickly pulled me in for a hug and quick kiss.

Once everything had been discussed between the two of us. We sat on the bed and talked about our plans for the future. And talked about what gender we hoped the baby was going to be. I wished that it would be a boy so that I would have someone to pass my group down to when I finally retired. However, Hailey wished that it would be a girl as she wanted the baby to be a girl as wanted someone to dress up in cute clothes and teach them about girl stuff. In that moment I knew that my life was finally going how I had wanted it too and at that point I finally felt satisfied with my life.
