Chapter 17

I got in early that next morning at the strip club, leaving Hailey at home with Boris. So, that he could keep a good watch on her. However, as soon as I got in my office, I noticed the hug stack of papers that were cluttering my desk.

The sight alone annoyed me to no end and I knew that the majority of the paperwork was bills for the work that was being done to the hotel that I had purchased. Once finished with my work, I leaned back in my chair and pulled out cigar and lit it. Letting the smoke billow around me.

To say that I was stressed was putting it mildly, it was more like I was mind was in a constant feud with itself. But, I was bound and determined that I was going to keep my family safe and that was just exactly what I was going to do.

Curious as to where Aleksei was I pushed myself my desk, pushing my desk chair against the wall that was behind it and then walked to the back where Aleksei's office was located at. As soon as I got back there to his office, I saw Aleksei slumped over his desk, loudly snoring like he didn't have a problem in the world.

A little annoyed by this I quietly snuck up to his desk and in one swift movement I gave his desk a nice hard kick. And apparently kicking it so hard that I caused my foot to throb with pain. As soon as I had kicked his desk, Aleksei sat up straight, snorted and then gave me the evil eye. And then said. "Well. What the fuck do you want?"

"What the hell do you think that I want. I want you to wake the fuck up and get off your lazy ass. That's what the fuck I want. Now, get up! I need you to come with me. There is something rather important that I need your help with." I snarled at him and then turned from him and started heading out of his office.

As soon as I made it several steps outside his office, I heard him sigh and then replied. "Alright. I'll be there in a few minutes. Pakhan." He said, and I gave a know-it-all smile and then went back to my office.

Once in my office, I pulled a set of keys that I had to my gun cabinet out of my pocket and then unlocked it and looked through my mass collection of guns and picked out a couple of my favorite pieces and loaded them and placed a silencer on them both and put both of them on safety before placing them into my two other hidden gun holsters.

As I reached over and grabbed an extra set of bullets from one of my desk drawers, I heard Aleksei come stomping into the room mumbling to himself, apparently still angry at me for daring to wake him up. I shook my head at him, trying to ignore his stupidity.

After grabbing a box of spare bullets and then stuffing them into my pants pocket, I watched as Aleksei walked over to my desk, yawned and then slammed his hands down on my desk and looked up at me and asked in an annoyed tone. "Alright, I'm here. What do you need me to do?"

"Well, first smartass. I need you to get over your attitude. Second. I need you to go over there and grab your favorite machine gun from the wall safe so, that we can hurry up and get the fuck out of here. It's only five in the morning and I would like to get a there before Vincenzo and his gang wake the fuck up."

"Fine. Fine. I'm going." He said, and the put his hands up in the air and then placed them behind his head. And walked over to the large wall safe and put in the combination code and then opened it, and then asked. "Hey, Pakhan? Are we going to take the guys with us?"

"I'm taking Wade, Nick and Paul with us, that should be enough back-up for a while." I replied.

Aleksei nodded his head in understanding and then pulled out his favorite machine gun and then walked back to his office and grabbed a thing of bullets and then came back to where I was and followed me out the door, and then out through the back and got into our waiting SUV where the rest of the guys were waiting on us.

I said a few words to the guys and then got inside and we took off and headed towards Vincenzo's place. However, several minutes into our trip, I started noticing that two white SUVS were following close behind us. I continued on driving, acting like I didn't notice them but, kept a close eye on them through the rearview mirror the entire time.

About several feet further, I felt them ram into the back of the SUV. I kept going and increased my speed a bit more, until I felt them ram into us once more. And then that's when I heard repeated gun shots and then yelled out. "Everyone get the fuck down now!"

I said and then hunched down in my seat and then removed my loaded gun from my holster and then removed it from safety and then quickly turned in my seat and fired off several rounds from my gun, causing the back glass to shatter and then watching as two of Vincenzo's men fall to the ground dead from their gunshot wounds.

I grinned a little and smiled and laughed an evil laugh and kept firing, taking out several more. Once my gun was unloaded, I pulled out my other gun and started firing it too, though this time when I did everyone else in the SUV had also got out and started firing on Vincenzo's men, causing a full-on gun fight in the middle of the fucking street.

After finally taking that load of morons out, I walked over to the side of the white SUV that was behind us and then raised my gun and opened fire shooting and killing three of the men that were in the other SUV. Once they were dead, I walked over to the driver's door and pointed my gun at the driver and then opened the door and snatched him out of his seat.

As he laid on the ground, I heard him starting to grovel and then said in a pathetic tone. "Please, don't kill me. I promise, I'll do anything that you want."

Annoyed with this pathetic excuse of a man. I shot him in the leg and heard him scream out. "OWW!"

I crouched down to him and then replied with an evil smile. "Of course, you are going to do exactly what I say. Now, get the fuck up. Your coming with us." I said snatching him up by the hair of his head and then walked him to the back of my SUV and threw him in and slammed the door behind him and yelled at men to get inside, and then drove all of us including the rat bastard in my trunk back to my compound to get some answers out of him.
