Love isn't as easy as making Manga! (BakuDeku)

Chapter 4: Mangaka are the same as God and Reaper

Kirishima has never been this confused. Firstly, Izuku asked him if he's interested in becoming a mangaka's assistant and then after he replied that being a mangaka's assistant can be pretty cool, Katsuki told him that they will be going to his house after school.

And Kirishima would never expected that Katsuki would drag him to his house as soon as school end. Izuku told him that they will explain everything as soon as they reach Katsuki's house. But as soon as they enter Katsuki's room, Kirishima was stunned to see a table in the middle of the room with a bunch of papers on top of it. Looking closely, he can see that all of it is drawn in a manga style.

"Here, take a seat Kirishima-kun." Izuku said as he brought out a chair and sat it down.

Not knowing what's going on, Kirishima can only did as told. As soon as he sit down, Katsuki gather some of the papers on the table and push it towards Kirishima.

"Oi shitty hair, draw a forest for the background in these few panels."

"Eh? Sure?" Kirishima blinked and pick the papers up, inspecting it carefully.

There's a drawing of Miya, Kaito and a few other characters on it. And from the look of it, the only thing that is missing is the background and some of the character's dialogue. Damn, it was so well drawn that he almost thought that Katsuki and Izuku is a professional mangaka. Not to mention that the art style is exactly the same as the author from Lost Paradise. If Kirishima didn't see it with his own eyes, he'd never believe how good Katsuki can mimicking other people's art style.

Izuku placed a few manga tools in in front of Kirishima and smiled. "Please feel free to use it."

"Um, are you guys making a doujinshi?" Kirishima finally asked.

Izuku blinked a few times and stares at him like he has asked a really weird question. He then shake his head in deny. "No, this isn't a doujinshi."

"This is the next chapter for Lost Paradise, dumdass." Katsuki replied.

And there was a short silent between the three of them. Izuku and Katsuki is staring at Kirishima and he stared back at them.

He thought that he heard it wrong but... did Katsuki just said that these papers is the draft for the next chapter of Lost Paradise? The current most popular battle manga? Then that means... Katsuki is the author? As in the actual author? The author who created his favorite manga? And he's currently in the same room as the author?

Holy shit!

"No way! You're the mangaka of Lost Paradise, Bakugou?!" he exclaimed in shock.

"Fucking piece of shit! You just realized that now?!" Katsuki snapped.

And so, Izuku begin to explain how they are always rushing for the deadline and how they really needed a few more assistant for the manga. Kirishima is thankful that Izuku is keeping it as short and simple as he can. He quickly understood that he got 'scouted' for his talent to draw background and was told that he can choose to back out. But in return, he have to keep it a secret that Katsuki is working as mangaka. Knowing that his buddies is fighting against the deadline with all of their might for the sake of the readers, there's no way that Kirishima can bring himself to reject helping them. That's just unmanly!

After agreeing to work with them, he begin to draw the forest background while Katsuki and Izuku is busy with their own role.

"You really are a great help Kirishima-kun!" Izuku smiled at Kirishima as he continue to do the inking for every pages without even looking at it.

"Although it still feels unreal that I'd ended up working for my favorite manga but as a friend, I'll be happy to help out in lessening your burden!" Kirishima grinned.
