"I'm a what?" I asked, obviously confused.
"Kion, you are a demigod." Mom told me. "I met your father when I was fighting the 9/11 fires and we both served in the army in the Middle East."
"Who is my father?" I asked, confused, but also intrigued.
"I have no idea." Mom responded.
"Is that why Janja and his clan attack us?" I asked.
"Yes. You are half-mortal, half-Olympian. There is a camp meant for people like you, but you must undergo training first."
"What is this camp like?"
"It is two camps who act like one; tonight a wolf will come and take you to camp."
"What about you?" I asked, my red bangs falling into my eyes.
"I will be fine. Simba will take of me." Mom answered, tears brimming in her eyes. "You must go. All of your friends are demigods as well."
"Even Fuli?" I asked, knowing that she is a homeless girl living on the streets.
"Especially Fuli." Mom answered as she gave me a packed bag containing my clothes and weapons.
"I love you Mom."
"I love you too Kion. Stay safe."
