The Boy Next Door

Chapter 42

   Once we get home, we get the kids inside. They automatically run to their rooms. "James?" James then looks at me, and replies, "Yes babe?" "Can we redecorate the kids rooms? I have some good ideas.!" James chuckles then nods his head yes.
   "Kiddos are y'all hungry?" The kids run up to me and start screaming yes. I go to the freezer and pull out their microwaveable cartoon dinners. I get them heated up, and I put them on the table. The kids get into the chairs and start eating.
   They get done eating and I throw their trash away, while they go lay down for a nap. I pull my phone out and call Brooke. "Hey girl, do I need to come get Faith?" James kisses my head and whispers "I'm going to take a nap." Brooke then says "If you want to you can come get her. She's been crying for about ten minutes. I can't get her to calm down." "I'll tell James to watch the kids while I'm gone. They are all taking a nap right now. I'll be there in a few." "Okay, I'll be there in a few minutes." Then Brooke hangs up.
I walk to the bedroom, and start rubbing James's back very slowly. James then flips over and sits up. "Yes babe?" He says with a mischievous smile. "Watch the kids while I'm gone, I'll be right back." James then groans. "I thought you wanted something else. But anything for you." I walk out of the room and grab the keys to the car.
I walk to the car, and get in it, and start the car. I pull out, and head to Brooke's house. As I'm heading to Brooke's house, I start rubbing my belly, and start talking to peanut. "Hey peanut. You are going to make this family complete. You were a surprise to us all, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I can't wait until you get here. Mommy loves you peanut."
I then pull up to Brooke's house, and get out of the car and head inside. "Hey Brooke, I'm here." When I look at Brooke, she looks like she hasn't slept in days her hair is a mess and she looks like she don't care. "Was she that bad?!" Brooke has a smirk on her face. "No she was really good to be honest. I'm just having morning sickness." "I had some of that not really with this pregnancy. But I've had it with my previous pregnancies." "Faith is in the play pen in my room."
   I walk to her room, and find Faith asleep in the play pen. I pick her up and lay her head on my shoulders, and grab her blanket and wrapped her in it. I look at Faith and kiss her on the cheek. "I've missed my baby girl." I say while looking at Brooke. "She's missed you too."
   Next thing I know my phone goes off, waking Faith up. I grab my phone out of my bra, and answer it. It was James calling. Not long after that Faith wakes up. Then she looks at me and starts giving my slobber kisses. "Baby can you come home. I miss you." "I'm headed that way babe." I hang up, and sigh. Brooke starts chuckling, then I start chuckling. "I've got to go. James misses me." I say while rolling my eyes. "Thanks for keeping Faith." Brooke pulls me into a hug, and says "Thanks for letting me keep her."
