Chapter 70

It ended up getting late, so we just went on ahead and went to sleep. When we woke up, we went and got Faith out of the nursery and got in my car and left. We pulled into moms driveway. "It's weird for me not to get dressed before I leave to go somewhere." "Girl, mom might look at you weird for a minute but don't worry about it." "Okay."
I got Faith out, and we all went inside. Mom was still sleeping, so we went and woke her up. When we went into moms bedroom, she wasn't in there by herself. "Mom. Mom." I say while tapping her on the arm. Mom sits up, and rubs her eyes. "What are y'all doing here?" "Well first of all who is that?" "Oh that's uh no one." "Mom. Who is that?"
Mom sighed. "That's Jordan. He's a friend of mine. "Mom get out of bed." "I uh. I can't." "Why not?" "Because I don't have my uh contacts in." "Mom you don't wear contacts. Stand up." "I cant." "Why not." "Because I'm not wearing clothes. Happy?" I looked at Brooklyn with his disgusted look on my face. Brooklyn chuckles. She takes Faith, and walks into the living room. Next thing I know, Jordan sits up in bed. "Oh uh hi." "Are you and my mom together?!" "Grace, yes we are together. Now can you please get out for a minute so me and Jordan can get dressed?"
I walk out into the living room, and sat on the couch, beside Brooklyn and Faith. "Sorry. I had no clue that we were going to see that." Brooklyn laughed. "Yeah. It was quite a shock. Something I wouldn't have expected." "I know right."
We sat on the couch, and me and Brooklyn rubbed our bellies. The twins started moving around. "Awe you can totally see the twins moving. That is so sweet." "Yeah it's sweet till one of them moves into your ribs." "Yeah. That hurts." "Yeah." Right then mom and this Jordan dude walked out. They sat on the couch across from us. "Sorry you girls had to see that. Maybe next time you should call before you come." I looked at Brooklyn like she had lost her mind. "Excuse me. I'm sorry. Last time I checked you didn't tell me you were seeing a guy. And you also told me that I could come anytime I wanted to." "Yeah. I know. Maybe next time call please." "Maybe maybe next time you shouldn't be sleeping with a guy knowing your daughter is 8 months pregnant and could go into labor at any minute."
   Mom chuckled. "Well look who's talking now. Last time I recall, you got knocked up right after you got together with James. Not once not twice, but three times." "Well I mean if you would have paid more attention to me and what was going on in my life then maybe things would be different. But at least me and James did the right thing and got married. And after we got married we got pregnant again."
    "Well maybe you should stop sleeping around." "I'm sorry. The person I lost my virginity to is now my husband. So I'm doing better than you." "Look who's trying to be perfect now." "I'm not perfect and I never will be perfect. I'm leaving. Don't expect to see your grandkids for a while."
   I grabbed Faith, and walked out to the car and Brooklyn followed. I put Faith in her car seat, and me and Brooklyn got in. I backed up and hauled butt. "Oh my gosh I can not believe her." "That was so messed up. I can't believe she said that stuff to you." "I know." "Grace, just please calm down. You do not need the stress. It is not good for you or for your babies."
   I started taking deep breathes. One after another. Finally I started to calm down. "Thanks Brooklyn." "So where are y'all staying tonight?" I sighed. "Im going to see if Chelsea will keep Nicole and Silas for tonight. If she can then we will go to Mrs Susan's house." "Okay. If you want to you can come stay at the house. Your always welcome." "Thanks Brooklyn. For everything." "Any time. It's what friends are for." "Crap." "What? Whats wrong?" "We can't go to Mrs Susan's house." "Why not?" "Because James's sister is there." "So?" "She don't like me." "Oh well. Tell her to move it or lose it." We bother started laughing.
    "That's what I'm going to do." Brooklyn laughed. "Let me know how that goes." "Totally. I wonder how she will react when I get half naked there." "She will probably say something to you." "Well you know what. She can kiss my butt if she don't like it. Besides Mrs Susan lets me do whatever I want. She would probably kick her out before she kicks me out."
   We both started to laugh. "Feel better now?" "Yeah girl. Thanks." "No problem." We pull up to her house, and I drop her off and head home. Me and Faith decided to take a nap before James got there.
