It's Happening Peoples!

(Y/n) POV:

     We left the house and started walking to the park. It was nice outside today. Not many people were out. We walked in silence which was weird because there's usually something John wants to say.

     "So um here we are!" John said. "Yeah!" I smiled. We sat at our normal bench near the lake. But John was way more clingy today than normal. "Well you don't have a lot to say." I said looking at the lake. "Oh uh I guess not." He chuckled. "It's fine." I rubbed his back as we sat there.

     "So um my question earlier..." he hesitated. "Yeah..." I urged him to keep going.     "(Y/n) I have loved you ever since I first laid my eyes on you. You're my everything! I'm so happy you chose to be with me because there are so many other people out there. Like honestly I thought you'd want to be with Laf before me!" He chuckled while rubbing the back of his neck.

     I let out a gasp and covered my mouth as he got down on one knee. "But what I'm trying to say is... will you make me the happiest guy ever and marry me?" He grinned.
I couldn't make out any words as tears filled my eyes. I didn't even move until I started shaking my head yes rapidly.

     John got up and gave me a huge hug and slipped the ring on my finger. Then out of nowhere people popped out from behind the trees and started clapping. It was Peggy, Eliza, Angelica, Alex, Herc, Laf, Washington, and Sophia.

     "Whooo!" Herc yelled. I gave a big smile as I laid my head on John's shoulder. The Schuyler sisters ran up and engulfed me in a huge hug. "I'm so happy for you!" Peggy squealed. "We'll definitely be helping you with the wedding plans!" Angelica said. "I can't wait for it!" Eliza jumped up and down as my sister walked up.

     "Way to go sis you got yourself a cute one!" She patted me on the back as the sisters gave me a look of confusion. "Oh uh guys this is my sister! And stop trying to take my man!" I playfully hit my sister on her arm. "Oh hello!" Peggy said. "What's your name?" Peggy asked. "Sophia. You?" She asked. "Peggy!" Peggy shouted.

     "I'm Angelica." She smiled. "And I'm Eliza!" She gave my sister a hug. "Well I'm guessing you'll wanna talk with your friends." My sister tried to walk away but I grabbed her arm. "No. Stay! Please?" I asked. She smiled and nodded her head.

John's POV:

     I was nervous to ask (Y/n) to marry me but when she said yes my eyes lit up with happiness. I gave her a huge hug and everyone popped out from behind the trees and started clapping. I gave a sigh of relief. But I was excited! The Schuyler's took (Y/n) over somewhere else and the guys came and started patting me on the back.

     "Congratulations mon ami!" Laf cheered. "Yeah I say we go out for drinks tonight!" Herc said. "I wouldn't mind doing that with you guys tonight." I told them. "I don't know I have to get this plan through to Congress and it's a lot of work." Alex sighed. "Oh come on I came in all ze way from France for this! You can take a break just for one night!" Laf put his hand on Alex's shoulder trying to convince him.

     He gave a loud sigh before finally saying "fine I'll go." He gave a soft smile as we saw Washington come over. He put an arm around my shoulder and we separated from the guys. "Congratulations. I wanna say that I know you're a good choice for her. But if you hurt her at all! You'll see that I will ruin your life." He quietly said. "Uh Yeah de-definitely. I'll um make sure sh-she's okay!" I stuttered.

He patted my shoulder and walked over to (Y/n).

(Y/n) POV:

     Washington came over and took me away from the girls. "Sir I wanna ask you i-if you would want to uh walk me down the isle since my dad is dead?" I asked. "I would love to." He smiled. "But I want you to know that if he hurts you I can ruin his life within seconds." He said. "Eh heh. Yeah." I gave a nervous chuckle.

     His inner dad was showing as he walked away. This day couldn't be any better. "Hey why don't we go back to the house?" John asked as he came up behind me. "Oh yeah sure!" We said our goodbyes and walked back to the house.

     "I'm so happy." John wrapped his arms around my waist. "I am too." I told him. "I'm going out for drinks with the guys so I'll be home later." He told me. "That's fine. I'll be here when you get back."

     He left and I sat on the couch and read a book. Today was a good day!
