Loud DJ music can be heard all around the gym with the thumps of the floor from wild teenagers jumping to the beat. And as much as Tony wants to go up and dance, he can't. Not when a psycho is in the same room as him, planning to attack at any moment.

He feels a pressure in his chest and an uneasiness in his guts. The fact that Wyatt is seating at the same table as him, right on front of each other, isn't helping at all. Since when do him and Mia talk, anyways?

"Weird, isn't?" Andrew says, right on his ear. "Playing electronic music when the whole theme of the party is meant to be Victorian, old era."

Tony chuckles, grabbing Andrew's hand and giving it a squeeze. He doesn't want Andrew to feel awkward now that his ex is nearby.

Suddenly, Wyatt stands up from his chair and goes around the table, behind Tony to tap his shoulder.

"What's up?" Tony asks, facing him.

Wyatt stretches his hands, his black, penguin suit somehow glowing in the darkness. "Lets dance!"

Tony stares at Andrew, waiting for a reaction. Instead, he gives Tony a long kiss on front of Wyatt and nods at him. "Go ahead, Tony. I trust you."

Tony follows Wyatt to the crowded center, the shimmering disco ball above them releasing radiant lights. And they dance to the crazy beat.

"You're trying to make Andrew jealous," Tony blurts out, loud enough for the surrounding individuals to hear.

Wyatt rolls his eyes, jumping up and down. "If I wanted to, I would've kissed you by now."

He has a point, but he is just too obvious.

"Taking me out to dance," Tony adds. "You're trying too hard to get me back."

Wyatt stops dancing, chewing the inside of his cheek. "Move on, man! I'm over you."

A pang on Tony's heart is barely audible. Why does it still hurt? When will the remaining love be completely gone?

Now he feels stupid. He sounds like the one trying to force them back together. Like the one that wants to hear Wyatt's words say, 'I still love you.' And... he kind of does want to hear that.

Instead of faking to enjoy the music, Tony starts to walk back to the table. No point in trying anymore. But before getting far, Wyatt grabs his hand and pulls him to his chest.

"Stay," he whispers in his ear.

Out of coincidence, a slow, dance song comes out, as if forcing Wyatt and Tony to remain together. And as much as Tony wants to deny his words, he doesn't. Who is he kidding? He wants to dance with Wyatt.

  So they do.

Wyatt resting his arms on Tony's shoulders as Tony gets ahold of his waist. He isn't capable of looking into Wyatt's eyes. But Wyatt is, staring at him throughout the entire song.

"Don't be shy," he says, pulling Tony closer until there's no space between them—chests touching.

Slowly, Tony gets ahold of the music, resting his head on Wyatt's comfortable chest. The beating of his heart is still audible now that the music isn't as loud. It feels so right, yet so wrong.

The music stops, forcing Tony to look back at the table. Standing, with wet eyes, stares Andrew—heartbroken.

"Andrew!" Tony yells as Andrew begins to stroll out the main entrance, gripping his hands into tight fists.

Outside, the wind is cold and smells like cigarettes. The only sound are the crickets and the music coming from the building. Andrew continues to head towards the parking lot, wiping his tears away.

"Andrew!" Tony yells again. "Come on!"

He manages to grab Andrew by the arm, making him stop. Andrew isn't having it though because he turns around and pushes Tony roughly in the chest. Tony tumbled backwards, almost falling completely.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" Tony snarls, fixing his glasses that almost fell off from the push.

Andrew crosses his arms, facing up. "I've tried."

  Tony tilts his head, confused.

"I tried to make the two of us look as perfect as when you were with Wyatt. I was hopeful that the prom proposal made all of them appreciate the two of us. God, I tried!" Andrew continues, trying to hold back his sobs, "but it's just not enough. He is capable of fitting back, right in with you more than I'll ever be."

"Being your boyfriend is his place—no one else's. You, Tony, are like a puzzle with a missing piece. Wyatt is that missing piece. You could see it on everyone's eyes as they stared at the two of you! They knew I was the misfit in the equation, taking a spot I didn't belong in."

His voice cracks, wiping more tears from his cheeks. "And you know what hurts the most?"

Tony remains silent, wincing at the sight of Andrew's tears.

"That I saw you with the same eyes as everyone else."

With that, he walks away, into the quiet night.

  Leaving Tony facing his fears.

  Alone.
