11. You are Fired.

Hello Fam. :)

A few people are disappointed with Nandini. Guys, the story has just started and I have already warned you, Nandu will test your patience i.e., it will take some time to open up. Of course, she would share her past/problem only with Manik.

An unusual morning at Malhotra Mansion. Raj and Nandu got ready for work and went to have their breakfast when the scene in front of them made their eyes widen in shock. The ever late Manik Malhotra was waiting for them on the dining table. Raj cleared his throat as he was busy with his mobile.

Raj(smiled): Good morning, son. Aaj itne jaldi.

Manik(giving a small smile): jaldi aankh khul gayi.

They have their breakfast silently. While in the car, Raj was worried about Manik’s unusual behavior.

Raj(concerned): Manik, sab theek hai beta?

Manik(hesitatingly): haan, dad. Bas mann nahi kar raha.

Raj: Do you want to take a leave?

Manik(nods in a negative): nahi. I am fine.

The conversation died. Soon they reach office and Raj goes towards his room while Nandu goes to hers followed by Manik.

Nandu’s cabin

Nandu(raising an eyebrow): I hope you have sent the mail to Mr. Thakkar?

Manik nods. Nandu opens her laptop and talks to him without taking her eyes from the laptop.

Nandu: There's no much work to do here. Waise bhi tumhara mann nahi laga raha hai, you can relax in your cabin.

Manik: Nandini…

Nandu(looking towards him): If I need anything, I will call you.

Manik leaves from there. He needs some time to clear his head. He grabbed a coffee for himself before going to his room. He was thinking about something when there was a knock on his cabin.

Nandu was thinking about Manik when she got a call from Raj.

Nandu: Haan uncle.

Raj(informs): princess, we have an emergency meeting in half an hour. Get the things ready.

Nandu(confused): What's the emergency? And what meeting?

Raj(explains): I don't know. Mr. Vedant called me to meet urgently. He said he tried talking to you before but you didn't give him any chance.

Nandu(rolling her eyes): Acha woh. Uncle, I will handle this. I am getting the conference room ready. You don't worry. I guess I know the emergency. I will meet you in half an hour.

She cuts the call and called the receptionist to get the conference ready. Just then, there was a knock and she asked them to come in. It was the peon holding an envelope.

Nandu(puzzled): Yeh kya hai?

Peon: pata nahi, madam. Koi aakar de gaya. Bola sirf aap hi ke haatho de.

Nandu(sternly): Aapko Manik ko dena tha na yeh?

Peon(informs): Madam, main sir ke paas gaya tha. Iss par koi naam, address likha nahi hai toh unhone bola koi private letter hoga. Isiliye aapko dene bhej diya.
