Forbidden love...(on hold)

Part Ten...

“Liz we gotta go,” Nancy told me as she hugged me.

“We’ll be back soon I hope,” Nick told me kissing the top of my head, “I love you sis,”

“I love you too,” I replied as they left down the stairs

I yawned only just realizing how tiered I was. When I went into my room Nate was passed out already I took just a second to listen to see who else was sleeping and found that I was alone so I grabbed out my favorite book from the shelf and tip toed down stairs basking in the silence that was my home as I buried my nose in Number the Stars I drifted slowly into a dream of my parents and how happy they were, hoping I would be that happy with Nate.

“Wake up or we’ll be late and if we’re late I’ll kill you.” said a voice as someone shook me. I opened my eyes and saw May standing over me. “up! Lizzy I took the bus the last couple of days while you were unconscious but this time your coming too, so up!”

I waved my hand at her got off the couch and went up to my room to change and get my things. By the time I made it back down stair May, Peter, Danny, Cassandra and someone I didn’t recognize were in my car.

“Hi who are you?” I asked him bluntly.

“Jonathan Gregory Stands, it’s nice to meat you Lizzy.” John said in a crisp Irish accent.

“Ok then seat belts.” I said very nonchalantly. As I started the car Nate ran out carrying two small boxes one he handed to me the other he handed to Cassandra.

“Might as well show it off.” he said as we opened them inside there were engagement rings mine was a 14 caret white diamond surrounded by scattered small diamonds on the band. Cassandra’s was a simple diamond and a gold band, it was beautiful. 

“Shane wanted to give it to you himself but he had to get into the studio early this morning to check on some things,” Nate told us. “so I’m giving it to you for him. Have a good day at school baby.” he kissed me on the cheek and backed up as I drove away.

“Well Lizzy he’s adorably in love you.” Danny commented. 

“Shut up.” I told him and in my rear view mirror I saw Peter smack him on the back of the head. I stifled a giggle. 

When we arrived at the school May and John went to class while the rest of us went to the office to get our class schedules, locker assignments, and my parking permit for on the grounds(everyone else had started wile i was out). My first period was geometry in the 400 building. A big building with 2 floors on the edge of the campus my locker was in the one hundred building so I went there first. 

When I got into class the teacher told me to sit in the back row (assigned seating apparently). So I sat there and opened my text book trying too look interested in the lesson.

“Ptss,” the girl next to me said, “ Hey, I’m Alex, who are you?” Alex was tall she had tan skin and long wavy brown hair that went past her shoulders by about an inch she was smiling at me.

“Elizabeth, nice to meet you.” I said.

“Girls I hope your talking about math.” our teacher called.

“Don’t worry Mr. Kit we are.” Alex called turning away from me. We paid attention and didn’t talk until the end of class. After we had packed up she walked over and dropped something in my lap and turned away and went to talk to a boy who sits right in front of her he was handsome and had curly brown hair he looked like a skater and dressed like a hick. I looked down and unfolded the note her hand writing was neat so it was easy to read.
