We left a little early because May wanted to see John before class started. I sat at the tables in the cafeteria talking to Rachel and Brandon about our classes when in come Shane and Nate. They walk over to us and hug Rachel before turning to Cassandra and me.
"What are you doing here?" Cassandra and I ask.
"We go here." Shane informed us.
"Here comes your fan party," Rachel pointed to a group of girls coming this way.
"Time to put on that show we were talking about Nate," Shane said.
"I suppose you're correct my dear brother." Nate replied.
"Huh?" Cassandra spoke for the both of us when she said that.
The boys cradled our faces kissing us full on the lips like in one of those romantic movies. I heard the gasps of the fan girls who had stopped dead in their tracks. Nate let me go and I grabbed my stuff and Nate's collar walking towered the crowd which parted to let us walk past. I led him to one of the halls that was partly empty before I asked for his class schedule, we had 1st, 3rd, and 4th periods together.
We walked to class before anyone else I sat down and looked for my homework in my stuff. When I had found it I looked up and found Nate standing in the same place with his head tilted to the right just a smidge.
"Are you going to sit down?" I asked him.
"Are you going to forgive me?" he asked in return.
"Yes I forgive you for this horrible secret," I answered, "now sit right here." I pointed to the desk right in front of me.
"Yes ma'am," he replied sitting in the desk and turning to look at me. "you do know that I never mean to make you mad, right?"
"Ya I know, it was just something that caught me off guard," I told him, "here you can't be a normal kid you're still Nate Jonas: Rock star. And your biggest fans are here at the school and those girls are gorgeous, and rich ...and smart. I'm......"
"Perfect," he finished for me, "Lizzy those girls may be all of those things but you have one thing they don't." he told me.
"All of your favorite foods?" I asked innocently.
"No, years of growing up with me, being part of the family," he kissed my right hand and looked into my eyes, "you have my heart.. You... Lizzy have my past, present, and future wrapped around your little finger, they never will." with that he kissed me.
"Get a flipping room guys," said a voice behind me.
"Jason go to hell!" I replied.
"Oh," he waved his hands in mock surrender before dropping them back at his sides, "bite me Lizzy"
"Careful I just might," I said through my teeth.
"Lizzy don't bite the boy," Nate laughed trying to get my attention.
"Ok," I smiled as he kissed me again.
"5,4,3,2, and 1,"Jason counted down before the bell rang and everyone piled into the room.
"I'll talk to you later," told him as I turned towered Mr. Kit. First period went by fast. In second we started a new project we had to edit a commercial to make it half as long I finished quickly.
"Wow, you're really good at this." Rachel smiled at me she was sitting on the other side of Brandon who was also looking at me as well. It was obvious they had finished their projects already because their screen savers had been going for a while.
"Not really, you finished first," I replied.
"Ya because we're good too." she informed me, "we are best at what like to do."
"Well I like this class," I commented, "a lot."
"Me too." she smiled at me. Her smile caught me off guard because it was stressed and pushed. Instinctively I reached into her head, I found her feelings about Brandon and her but nothing that made me think she was uncomfortable with me. I must have just been over reacting.
"Rachel how long have you and Brandon been going out?" I asked her.
"A year why?" her smile became bright.
"Just curious," I smiled back. "I mean you just act like you could have been together a long, long time."
We talked about her relationship with Brandon, while Brandon watched video's on his computer.
"So Lizzy how did you and Nate meet?" Rachel asked.
"Oh please." Brandon said leaning his head on his right hand, "please just give her the short run through not the long one."
"Ok," I smiled at him, "we grew up together in family's that hated each other because of a fight between our mom's when they were in high school, when the three of us were born the fighting got worse because we were born human, not vampire. Our families stressed to keep their secret children from the other. We met through Kevin and Nick the oldest of both families nether knew how to protect us alone, eventually they realized that they shared the secret. They joined forces and stuck us in a room together and we became inseparable." I finished looking over at Brandon, "short enough for Ya?"
"Yes," he glared back jokingly. I laughed as the announcements came on telling us that our day was cut short then the bell sounded and I raced out of the class room. I dropped my shit off at my locker and headed for the cafeteria where everyone sat talking already.
"Hey Lizzy," May called from the other end of the table as I sat down next to Nate.
"Hey guys what's up?" I asked slightly unfocused.
"Not much," Nate smiled kissing me on the cheek "classes suck, seriously Spanish sucks."
"It's not that bad, German was worse," Cassandra informed him before turning to me, "Ihr Freund ist hoffnungslos." which in English translates into 'your boyfriend is hopeless'.
"Is not he's... he's... Hartnäckig, stubborn," I replied smiling.
"Um English ladies, please" Shane asked as Nate joined in on the last word. Cassandra and I looked at each other before bursting into laughter.
"Whatever," May rolled her eyes at us and grabbed her boyfriend by the arm, "come on John let's go."
"Ok coming." he replied pulling his bag off his chair.
"Poor kid didn't have a chance," I smiled making everyone laugh but when my eyes locked with Shane's serious expression my face dropped.
"That is fucking it," I said through my teeth as I got up and walked to Shane's chair, "Shane come on," when he resisted I looked at Cassandra, who I knew was on my side, and she gave him the look that can crack a diamond he grunted and followed me to an empty class room.
