The weekend passed unbelievably slowly for Mark Tuan the only thing he held onto was the fact that his bail hearing was Monday afternoon. He hoped and prayed the judge would give him a low bail amount, lucky that prayer was answered when his bail amount was set at only $500. Things got better when he heard that someone had already paid his bail, he was shocked when he saw that it was Jinyoung. Still he was grateful and left the courts with Jinyoung, they drove to the school where Mark informed the school of what happened and they said his suspension dates start from Monday. Finally the two headed to the cafe to talk.

"Mark, I'm sorry for everything I said. It was insensitive, childish and petty." Jinyoung took a slip of his coffee.

"What I said also was unnecessary and childish." Mark sighed, "I'm sorry I let this competition get between us. Did something happen to you?"

"What do you mean?" Jinyoung questioned.

"You have this weird glow and you seem strangely happier." Mark teased, "Did you get some?" Mark winked and laughed

Jinyoung simply hummed and shrugged, "Did I? What an interesting question."

Mark just shook his head. Jinyoung opted for a topic change.

"Did your parents know?" Jinyoung wondered

"Uh no. No way." Mark laughed, "Does your dad know?"

"No way." Jinyoung rolled his eyes.

Jinyoung's phone rang and Mark reached over the table to grab it before Jinyoung could react.

"I'd take a D from him? Interesting." Mark teased and ignored Jinyoung's pleas to give back his phone. Mark answered the phone, "Is this who Jinyoung would take a D from?"

Jackson choked up before responding a with a weak "What?"

Jinyoung facepalmed and reached for his phone while Mark swatted the younger's hand away, "Anyways, who is this?"

"Jackson Wang." Jackson managed to cough out.

Mark's eyes widened and he shot a wink at Jinyoung who just melted in his seat.

"Oh hiya Jackson." Mark laughed.

"Mark?" Jackson questioned.

"Correct!" Mark replied, "But why are you calling Jinyoung?"

"I was calling to ask about you and to check on him."

"I'm fine, my face has seen better days. Here, Jinyoung." Mark handed Jinyoung back his phone.

Jinyoung rolled his eyes at Mark but smiled, "Hello Jackson."

"You sound so stiff, loosen up. Are you not happy to talk to me?"

Jinyoung laughed, "It's the opposite, I promise. Still what's up?"

"I just wanted to talk but you're out with Mark and I don't want to interrupt that. Are you two cool with each other again?"

"I would say we've always been cool with each other, we just let something come between us." Jinyoung shrugged, "My life would be boring without Mark."

Mark smiled hearing the compliment from the younger boy.

"Have you told him?" Jackson asked suddenly.

Jinyoung stammered, "W-what no, I haven't."

"You should or would you rather I did?" Jackson paused, "We could together."

"I'd much rather that..." Jinyoung trailed off.

Mark watched Jinyoung converse with Jackson with interest. He watched the way Jinyoung laughed occasionally, the smiles that seemed endless on the younger's face. Jinyoung seemed so happy while talking to Jackson. Mark and Jinyoung made eye contact, Jinyoung gave Mark that look. Jinyoung's face was relaxed but you could still see the twinkle in his eyes, he smiled at Mark and looked away taking a sip of his drink. In that moment, Mark realized why Jinyoung seemed brighter to him earlier. Jinyoung's conversation with Jackson ended and he handed the phone back to Mark, Jinyoung said Jackson wanted to tell him something.
