Todoroki's POV

"Todoroki!! Todoroki-kun, I can't get out!"

Todoroki had gone with Midoriya to defeat the League of Villains for the second time that month, and this time, Shigaraki found a new hideout. That was where they were now. Midoriya had gotten stuck in a trap as they entered the hideout. Todoroki tugged on the handle of the door Midoriya was locked in, it wouldn't budge.

"Use your quirk, Midoriya!" Todoroki yelled.

He heard Midoriya scream, "SMASH!!!" and a pounding on the door. It still didn't break down even after he used his quirk. Tears streamed out of Todoroki's eyes as he threw his hand in front of the door, trying to blow it down with ice. Nothing happened. He heard a faint whimper on the other side of the door and then silence.

"Midoriya? Midoriya!!"

Todoroki bolted straight upright in his bed. He jerked his head around, seeing light shining through the open curtains of his room. It was a dream. Todoroki sighed in relief and got out bed. More like a nightmare, actually.

Todoroki hadn't slept well that night. There was a strange feeling pooling at the pit of his stomach that wouldn't let him get a wink of sleep. Then when he finally managed to, he had a nightmare about Midoriya.

He walked over to the bathroom and stared at his reflection in the mirror. He had dark circles under his eyes again. Todoroki splashed cold water on his face and brushed his teeth. He didn't know why he had the worst night, he thought it would be great because of the barbecue the night before.

Todoroki had placed a kiss on Midoriya's sweet lips and he accepted it. He even kissed back and played with Todoroki's hair. When Todoroki got back to his dorm, he thought about it for a long time. How his silky, green curls ruffled slightly from the wind and how his freckled cheeks were lightly dusted with a brilliant pink shade when they pulled apart. During the night, he longed for that feeling again. For some reason, it felt as if it was a one-time thing.

I hope not, Todoroki thought as he changed his clothes and went downstairs for breakfast.

As he walked towards the cafeteria, he overheard Kaminari talking to Jiro. "I can't believe she would drop out! Nobody in our class has ever dropped out before, I wonder why she did."

Todoroki froze. He ran to catch up with Kaminari, who was piling rice on his plate.

"Kaminari, who are you talking about?" Kaminari and Jiro stared at him like he was the dumbest person in the world.

"Himari-san, of course! You didn't know? She dropped out of UA," Kaminari shook his head.

Todoroki frowned in confusion, "What? But she was only at UA for like less than two days."

Kaminari shrugged, walking to an empty table to eat. "Yeah, but I heard it was some personal stuff, bro."

Todoroki hesitated before taking a bite of his taiyaki. He remembered what Midoriya had told him last night.

"Todoroki-kun! I was just comforting her. She was bullied for her quirk in the past, so I reassured her that she doesn't need to worry because she's at UA now, and everyone here is so supportive. Then she hugged me."

Maybe she dropped out because she didn't want to get bullied...Or maybe something else happened.

Apparently the whole cafeteria knew about it, though. They were chatting away about how they would never drop out of UA, it was too hard of a school to get in to. Todoroki's eyes darted around the cafeteria.

He saw Uraraka, Iida, and Midoriya sitting together, but no Himari. That was very odd to him. Why did she get settled if she was going to drop out the next day? What did Midoriya think about the whole situation?

Todoroki made a mental note to ask him after breakfast. He quickly shoved the rest of the taiyaki in his mouth and got up, walking over to Midoriya. Uraraka and Iida saw him first, and they both smiled.

"Hey, Todoroki-kun!" Uraraka said, causing Midoriya to turn abruptly and look at him.

"Hey, Uraraka," he replied and glanced back at Midoriya, giving him a small smile.

Midoriya blushed and looked away. "Todoroki-kun..."

"Midoriya, I have to talk to you outside," Todoroki said, seriously.

Midoriya shot him a confused look, but nodded. "Okay, I'm done with breakfast anyway. See you guys later!" He smiled and followed Todoroki.

Why was he in such a good mood? After what happened with Himari...Did he even know she dropped out?

They stepped out the door and into the hall. Midoriya leaned against the wall and Todoroki stood to face him. He was closer than he should've been, but Midoriya didn't seem to mind. "Um, Midoriya? You know Himari dropped ou-" Midoriya cut in before he could finish his sentence.

"Yeah..." He spoke sadly, his features immediately changing into a small pout.

Todoroki never saw Midoriya pout before...It was kinda cute. Midoriya noticed Todoroki staring at him and blushed, his mouth straightening out again. "Can...Can you do that again?..." Todoroki asked, embarrassed. Midoriya looked confused for a second before smirking.

"This?" He gave Todoroki the biggest puppy dog eyes ever and pouted.

His expression immediately changed when Todoroki leaned in and pressed his lips on Midoriya's. Midoriya was backed up against the wall and he kissed back, tangling his hands in Todoroki's mismatched hair. The bell rang. Breakfast was over and their class was about to walk in on them kissing. Todoroki gasped and pulled away.

Midoriya's cheeks were so red, Todoroki was shocked. They were never so red before... His breathing was slightly labored and he ran a hand through his hair. "We're continuing this later, Todoroki."

It was more of a demand than a suggestion and Todoroki was taken aback. Midoriya was already gone and Todoroki stood there confused. He didn't even talk about Himari at all, it was like he completely changed the subject. And his...his lips. They were somehow different, Todoroki didn't know how, but they definitely didn't taste the same as they did at the barbecue the night before.

Something weird was going on and Todoroki could feel it. Starting from the lack of sleep to creepy nightmares, then Himari dropping out and now Midoriya? It was all too much for Todoroki. Since it was a Sunday, there were no classes, so Todoroki decided to go back up to his dorm room and sleep. He needed to rest his mind to figure out what exactly was going on with UA.
