Hold Me

"The best thing to hold onto in life is each other."

― Audrey Hepburn

I woke up without a memory in my mind. Everything felt perfect. Then came flooding back to me last night. I looked around my room to see I was in my penthouse. My very own penthouse. I walked over to the bathroom to go pee.

All of the sudden I smelt bacon. I ran to the the kitchen and saw Ryan cooking eggs and bacon.

"You stayed," I smiled as I walked over to him.

"Yeah I stayed. I couldn't leave a drunken Sara by herself in her new apartment," Ryan laughed.

"What if you moved in with me?" I asked. I know it's early still, but it just feels so right.

Ryan looked down at the bacon in the pan and smiled. He looked up at me and said, "I think I'll like that,"

"So. Are we like girlfriend and boyfriend now, or?" I asked.

"Yeah," Ryan sat the plates on the table, and we sat down.

"I was thinking of telling my parents," I said to him.

"Really?" Ryan asked taken away.

"Yeah. I figure it's about time for them to know. I also didn't want to hide this anymore. I mean after last time..." I trailed off.

"I love you," Ryan said softly.

"I love you too," I smiled at him.

I got out of the car with Ryan and looked straight to my house. Cara and Stormie went to Stormie's house last night when I didn't return home, so it's just my mom and dad in there now. I looked down at the puddle of water on the ground. The sun shined down on it, and sparkled back in my eyes.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Ryan asked. I know he cares.

"I'm positive," I smiled, and placed my hand on his cheek. I grabbed his hand, and we walked into the house.

"Hi, hun. Who's this?" My mom asked.

"Um. Dad!" I called for him to come down.

My dad had a puzzled look on his face. "What's going on?" My dad looked down at our hands intertwined.

"This is my boyfriend, Ryan Follese," I said to both of them. It felt nice having those words come out of my mouth. I could feel the weight of the world lift from my shoulders as I saw Ryan smiling at me.

"How?" My dad asked.

"Well when I met him in the studio I felt something, but I thought that was just the vibe of the studio. Then I got to know Ryan more, and then the more I feel in love with him," I told them, but my dad still seemed mad. Maybe a little white lie wont hurt. "I saw him last night at the party, and things just fit together when it's us. So last night we desired to give this a shot," I wasn't really lying, but I made it seem like last night was the first night.

"I'm so glad you're with him. I knew you weren't really happy with Justin. I know when you're happy, and right now you're glowing," My mom smiled at me.

"I don't like this," My dad said as he crossed his arms.

My mom hit dad on the head, and said, "You should be happy that our daughter is so happy. We've left her so many times, and she won't always have us. You should be ashamed for being so selfish,"

"You're right. You're always right," My dad admitted.

"Now you two go enjoy being together," My mom moved her wrist back and forth to us to shoo.

"You and dad do the same," I winked, and started to walk away.

"Wait," My dad said.

"Yeah?" I tuned back.

"Come here, Ryan," My dad demanded.

Ryan walked to him. "Yes, sir?" He asked.

My dad pulled Ryan into a hug. He whispered to Ryan, "You take care of my daughter,"

"Will do, sir," Ryan said as he pulled away.

"Please, call me Ken," He smiled.

Ryan and I left. We got back to my place, and Ryan asked, "What do you want to do?"

"Hold me," I said simply.

Ryan gave me a little smile, and walked to me. He wrapped his arms around me, and we started to sway back and forth. We did this for what seemed like forever. Everything was like slow motion. The cars in the streets where quieter, the city lights had dimmed, it was like everything stopped for the two of us. I never wanted this to end.
