Becca was all tucked into bed and fast asleep. Harley, Jay, Matt, and Gabby were all sitting on the couch. Harley took a deep breath before beginning the long story of Rebecca's life.

"So I was in the Army for 4 years total and towards the end is when my mom was pregnant. At my Mom's three month ultrasound they found out she had stage 3 Melanoma. She had a fighting chance, but if she fought the chemo would kill the baby. My mom said no she wasn't giving up her child for her own life. I thought she was insane because I wasn't ready to lose my mother. My dad of course did care either way. Sam didn't know how to react so she just started getting into some bad stuff at school."

Harley took another deep breath and Jay rubbed her leg. She was trying to make sure she wouldn't cry because that was the last thing she needed to do.

"So when my mom went into labor they decided to do a c-section because my mom was too weak. We said our goodbyes knowing that most likely she wouldn't be coming back and...she didn't. But we were blessed with little Rebecca Harley Jacobs."

"Her middle name is your first name?" chuckled Matt.

"Yeah my mom picked out the name before she went in. She said she wanted her middle name to be my first name because she knew she'd be as strong as I was."

"Awe. That's sweet," smiled Gabby.

"Yeah. But uh after Rebecca was born we took her home and I was basically her mom. She lived with me at my apartment because my dad was always 'working' (aka drinking). While I was in the academy or at work she'd be at Olivia Benson's, the lieutenant at SVU New York, apartment with her son and their nanny. Liv was always helping me out. While I did my six month undercover for SVU she stayed with Liv full time. After that I was transferred to narcotics. Becca was three at that time. Then just as she was about to start 4K I got fired and they transferred me down to CPD narcotics. Becca had friends here and a good school. Sam was living with my dad, so I figured she'd be safe. So I left you with them and moved down here. I made it 8 months in Narcotics before they transferred me to Intelligence. Then I got the phone call and here we are."

"I thought you said Becca was six?" questioned Jay.

"She's almost six. By some weird twist of fate we were born on the same day, December 7th," Harley explained.

"That's cool!" stated Gabby.

"Yeah every year we'd do something fun together to celebrate. It's our little tradition," chuckled Harley, smiling at the thought.

A Few Months Later...

It was Christmas time in Chicago. It was beautiful, but pretty damn cold! Jay and Harley had spent Christmas Eve together and then were going over to Matt and Gabby's Christmas morning.

Harley woke up when her phone went off. Gabby had texted her saying that Becca had opened all her gifts and they were ready for them when they were. Harley and Jay both got out of bed and got dressed. Jay pulled on a black tee and his dark blue plaid pajama pants. Harley yanked on her Drink Up Grinches tank top and snowflake pajama pants. They put their presents for Becca, Gabby, Matt and the gifts for each other in the trunk. Then they headed out!

Jay carried the bag of presents and Harley opened the door. As soon as she stepped into the house Rebecca jumped on her. Harley chuckled as she picked up her little sister.

"Merry Christmas munchkin," Harley greeted and hugged her.

"Merry Christmas Sissy," replied Becca before Harley set her down.

Jay set the bag of gifts down on the floor next to the tree. When he stood back up, Becca ran over and hugged his leg.

"Merry Christmas Jay" she smiled.

"Merry Christmas sweetie" grinned Jay as he rubbed her back in return.

They all sat down and opened more gifts. It took twenty minutes, but it was finally time for Jay and Harley to exchange gifts.

"I'll go first"offered Jay as he picked up a big rectangular present.

Harley took it with a smile and the proceeded to rip it open. The gift was inside a box, so she opened that up next. There was a framed picture Harley, Jay, and Rebecca along with s photos album. She opened up the album to find pictures of Rebecca from a professional photo shoot.

"I took her to get them done a few weeks ago. We thought you'd like them" smiled Jay as he saw Harley tear up a bit.

"I love it. Thank you baby" replied Harley as she quickly kissed Jay. Then she turned to Rebecca and kissed her on the head, "Thanks munchkin."

"You're welcome Sissy".

"I have one more for you. Becca you wanna grab it?" asked Jay.

"Yeah!" She cheered before grabbing the box and walking behind the tree to hand it to Jay.

Suddenly Jay turned with the box in his hand and got down on one knee. Matt and Gabby were just as surprised as Harley, but Becca was in on it.

"Harley, I know we've only been together six months, but we both know that we're meant to be. These have been the best six months of my life. I love you and I wanna marry you, have babies with you, and grow old with you. You're the love of my life," he paused to open the black velvet box, "Harley Jacobs, will you marry me?"

"Yes!" She squealed and Jay beamed.

He slid the ring on her finger before the two kissed. Harley was so happy. Who cares if they haven't been together long! They love each other and that's all that mattered.

"Hey keep it PG!" jokingly exclaimed Matt as he covered Becca's eyes.

Harley and Jay pulled away laughing and then Jay spoke, "Don't worry I asked for the blessing before I proposed".

"Blessing? There's no one to ask" stated a confused Harley.

"Yes there is. Becca gave me her blessing to marry you" smiled Jay and Becca nodded excitedly.

"Awe. Well you made the right call" smiled Harley before hugging Becca.

"Best Christmas ever!"
