The kids decorated the house along with Becca for Christmas. Harley and Jay assisted where needed, but otherwise let them have at it. It was fun to watch and the kids seemed to enjoy it. Once the place was decorated, they cuddled up to watch movies.

The next day it snowed all day and the kids were ecstatic. They got all dressed up in their snow gear with help from Harley before heading outside in the snow to play with Jay. Harley and Becca stayed inside, making food and chatting over cocoa.

"So, how are you feeling kiddo? With everything going on?" Harley asked as she sipped from her mug.

"Better, still avoiding certain parties since they make me nervous. It's been nice being on winter break though. Dad and Sylvie are taking about having another baby, so that's exciting."

"You're excited about that?"

"I am. I mean, I love Ava. She is just the cutest, and Sylvie's a great step mom. Dad seems to be excited to have another one before I'm off to college," she spoke with a chuckle, "I told him we've got two years still and I'm considering taking a gap year first."

"Really? I mean that's totally fine, I'm just curious as to why?"

"Well I have no idea what I really want to do. I mean the only job I've had was being Ava's nanny and I couldn't get another job because of that one. "

"Do you wish you could get a job?"

"Honestly I love getting to nanny for them. It's what leads me to think I want to do something with kids. I'm just not sure what yet."

"I think that's great Becca. I mean you're great with your niece and nephews. You're an amazing big sister to Ava. I know you'd do some great things working with kids! Have you had any ideas yet?"

"I'm thinking maybe social work or counseling? I haven't thought a whole lot about the details, but I've looked into the path and it can be expensive, so I'm thinking if I nanny through a gap year, I could help get more money."

"That's actually a great idea. You'd have the new baby too so it'd be more money to be made. Plus there may be other babies around."

"Others babies? Who else is having babies?"

"I mean Kim's currently pregnant and she could use one potentially. Or Jay and I have talked about adding one more to are group."

"Really? You guys are thinking about having another kid?"

"Yeah we talked about trying for a fourth and it'd be the last, but I kinda want to see if we get another girl. Nothings set in stone, just something we've been talking about."

"Well, I say you guys should go for it. I'd totally add your kid to my nanny with Ava."

"Why thanks Becca. If we decide to go for it, I'll make sure I factor that in."

After playing in the snow, the kids came in and Jay got them bathed and warmed up. Meanwhile Harley was making dinner. All three kiddos came hustling to the dinner table in their matching Christmas Eve pajamas. They were adorable black and red flannel prints. After dinner Jay cleaned up the table and dishes while Harley also changed into her pajamas.

The kids all cuddled up and watched movies before setting up milk and cookies for Santa. That's when Harley and Jay got to work finishing wrapping presents and setting them up under the tree. The next morning was kids tearing open gifts and Jay having to help get them open from the packaging.

Harley made some cocoa for the kiddos before making coffee for her and Jay. The happy couple sipped their coffee, all cuddled up on the couch as the kids played around them.

"Merry Christmas love," Jay smiled, pressing a gentle kiss to Harley's lips.

"Merry Christmas babe. We did it good with those ones, didn't we."

"We did. One more couldn't hurt."

"Mmmm I don't think it could either."

With the flu going around like crazy, the Halstead family opted for a New Years Eve in. But the family decided to still dress up to make it fun. Skylar decided to wear a sparkly light pink dress with the boys wore their tuxedo shirts and called it a day. Jay settled on black jeans and a white button up while Harley settled on a sparkly silver dress. The kids surprisingly decided they were gonna make it to midnight.

"5! 4! 3! 2! 1! Happy New Year!" they cheered together as the kids squealed.

"Happy new year," Harley grinned, pressing a long, passionate kiss to Jay's lips.

With that they were quick to get the kids off to bed. Once they were all tucked in, Jay opened and poured them each a glass of champagne. The two cuddled up in front of the fireplace, her back against Jay's chest.

"Cheers," they smiled, clinking glasses before taking sips.

"You look beautiful," Jay complimented with a kiss to the neck.

"Mmm thanks."

"You excited about the fresh start of the new year?"

"I am actually. This year holds a lot of possibilities I'm excited for."

"Me too. I think it's going to be a good year for the Halstead bunch."

"God I hope so."
