It was a faint swish that bought my attention along with the harsher breeze that swallowed me in. The Autumn leaves that had been swept up with it floated back down with grace.

But it was silent now. The type of silence you get right before the eye of the hurricane hits you with full force. I held in my heaving breaths with shock and fear. I gripped the net underneath me like a lifeline. A sudden feeling of overwhelming exhaustion submerged me like a tidal wave. My eyelids fluttered closed, daring to make me pass out.

Instead, though, I fought it and somehow found myself standing right back up again. My steps were so dizzy I could have confused myself as drunk. I looked around for the cause of the mysterious sound to be met with nothing but stale air.

The three people were still straight over my head, yelling and shouting profanities at one another. Some might have been directed at me, but they went through one ear and put the next.

How tired I was unexplainable. Everything seemed to be all sluggish and in a mess. My vision, along with the rest of my senses, were lacking. The voices yelling seemed to be coming at me in double. I felt like I  could drop at any moment.

I staggered along with one hand on my bleeding side. The people could come back down anytime they really wished and I would be defenseless.

A sudden feeling of pure ice landed on my shoulder and I flinched away. I turned around as fast as I could in my state. Through my blurry vision, I could see the hair and skin tone of the man before.

With minimum effort, he was able to push my body to the ground again.  Grainy pebbles crunched under my weight. Somewhere he was yelling at his servants but my attention was on the rope in his hands. He grabbed one of my wrists and tried to tie one another together despite my slow-moving but hysterical protest. When the time was right, I swung my head straight backward into the guy's crotch. This hand tightened on my shoulder in his hellish moment of pain. But he was stunned momentarily at my actions allowing me to elbow him in the calf as well.

"Mother. . .fu. . .cker," he panted in parts. He reached down to his belt which had a knife similar to mine. This one, though, was only side sided but had a twist of two different metals in it. My head dropped slowly to the right unwillingly as he went to put it above my neck with lightning speed.

I was frozen still as he finished wrapping the rope around my hands. The pressure and friction of the rope hurt like hell but I'm pretty sure the man wouldn't have a sense of humor.  The guy pressed a button on his watch and spoke into it. Seconds later, a sleek black car pulled in front of the two houses we were in between. I wasn't done fighting though. Even if I was weak.

I bite the hand holding the knife.

"Damn, are you a fucking dog or something?" He cursed, pulling his hand back and swinging it up and down like a child. I kicked my feet up to make run for it, but the man was just as quick. He swept his uninjured leg below mine making me fall right on my back. I let out a loud screech when my spine came in contact with the floor. My head had also hit the ground too. Black spots danced in my vision before unconsciousness swallowed me whole.

                                 .:NICO:.

"This is stupid...," I mumble under my breath, picking up another handful strawberry and rising them under the hot tab. I had been assigned strawberry washing duty after Alex, the Apollo kid that was taking care of me, demanded that I wasn't to move around a lot for chores.
