IMIRA'S POV

Peter and Edmund choose to cross Archeland and from there go up north to Cair Paravel. Apparently, some of the Witch's followers survived the war and scattered across all of Narnia making travelling a treacherous task. They had been hunting them down, but they were very resourceful. The safest route to travel was the one between Archeland and Narnia.

We reach Cair Paravel after 2 nights. Susan and Lucy are there to welcome us. The girls show me my rooms. Well, rooms is an understatement. They take me to the east wing of the castle, which is shaped like a 'U', there is a garden in the middle, and we take the first turn right.
"These are the larger guest rooms. Since you'll be staying here for a long time we figured you might want a place of your own," Susan tells me as they lead me to the end of an opened hallway. "Apparently this place is where the Datramite royal family stayed at during their visits to Narnia," Lucy adds before opening a big double door at the end of the hallway.
"Whoa, this place is huge!" Two stories, tall ceilings, balconies overseeing the ocean, there's a dining room, a sitting room, a decent sized library, a drawing room, a study, the main hall, several bathrooms, and 4 bedrooms. My ladies maids, Lily, Jane, and Amy, are already unpacking my things.
"Isn't this a little too much? I mean, for only one person, it'll get kinda lonely don't you think?" I ask turning to them.
"It is the largest guest house by far, but it's the official royal residence for the Datramite family. Besides, if your brother comes to visit this is where he will be staying too." Susan explains. "And you can always hang out with us. We're just on the other side of the garden." Lucy explains pointing outside the window.
"Thanks, this is brilliant,"
"We'll let you settle in and explore. If you need anything just ask the maids," Susan tells me signalling to the two dryads who are carrying in some of my stuff.
"Dinner is at seven! We'll see you there!" Lucy tells me happily as she waves at me before exiting with her sister.

One month later- (July)
I had been living with the Pevensies for a month now, I am happy with my life here. On the mornings I train with the guys, attend council meetings, and perform my duties as ambassador, on the afternoons I attend private lessons with the Kings and Queens and once they were finished I have the rest of the day free. But lately, the Kings and Queens had received news that some of the witch's followers who survived the war were still alive and causing trouble.

"Any reports on the followers of the witch?" Peter asked at the end of the last council meeting before lunch.
"There have been sightings up north, your Highness, some are hiding in Owlswood, raiding villages as they go," Lord Peridan informed Peter.
"Then we must stop them before they cross the river Shribble. If they cross up north we won't be able to follow." Peter declared. "Cassius, send a legion of soldiers to Owlswood, scout the woods and kill all of her following that you find."
"Yes, your Highness"
"Anything else?" Edmund asks Peridan.
"Some of her people have been spotted in the woods surrounding her castle, they say they are hiding there, plotting an attack." Peridan adds.
"Then we must stop them too!" Peter said, "I'll take 40 of your best men and we will ride to her castle, squash this rebellion before it ever begins." Peter said sternly.

He kept on talking, making plans, but I took the opportunity to stare at him without it being too obvious that I was into him, nodding every once in a while so it wouldn't be so obvious. He looked so cute when he was serious, the way his blue eyes sparkled with intensity, the way he'd square his shoulders trying to look more imposing, the way his jaw would tense and his mouth would turn into a straight line. Now, you must be wondering, is he your boyfriend? Are you guys together? Have you kissed again since the battle of Beruna? The answer to that, unfortunately, is no. We hadn't really talked about it, with the whole me leaving and finding out about my parents death, and then with me being in Datram for some time, and then my return to Narnia with all these new responsibilities, and then him learning the ropes of the trade, it just felt like the time to talk about it was gone, like bringing it up again would just be awkward. Things between us had been different since my return, we hadn't really spent any time alone together, there was always someone around, looking. There had been many awkward silences and stares between us, but neither of us knew what to say to break the tension. I definitely had feelings towards him, I just didn't know how to act about them anymore, so I decided that if he was still into me he should be the one to make the first move. I mean, what if I said something and he didn't want to talk about it, or what if he wasn't interested in me anymore, I mean, he was always nice and polite, but then again, he was nice and polite towards everybody. What if he liked some other girl? Someone prettier and more delicate. What if he wasn't into me anymore? There had been so many ladies and princesses coming through Cair Paravel in the last weeks with their parents on diplomatic missions to get acquainted the new rulers of Narnia. What if he fancied one of them now? He is the High King of Narnia, he can have any girl he wants. So many of them had flirted with him in the last weeks, what if he was into one of them? Just then I got pulled away from my train of thought by the sound of my name being called by Peter.
"Imira? What do you thinking?" Peter asked once more.
"Sorry, what?"
"About the plan... The raid in the witch's castle... Weren't you listening?" Edmund asks me, amused by my cluelessness.
"Pff, of course, I was Ed," I say to him, shit, what was Peter saying? Something about him going on a raid to the witch's castle, killing the bad guys, "I think it's a great idea!" I say with confidence. If Peter thought of it it must be a good idea, right?
"Great! Then I'll see you tomorrow at the stables. Don't worry, we should be back at the end of the week." He says before adjourning the meeting. Wait, what? What did I just agree on doing?
As everyone walks away I pull Edmund aside. "Ed, what just happened?" I ask him a little worriedly.
