Chapter Twelve

*Time Skip til they're back to the bunker*

Charlotte's P.O.V

We returned to the bunker and put our things in our designated rooms then met up in the war room. Dean was the first to speak when we were all in the room. "I think we should team up on more hunts together. We all work well together. What do you guys say?" I looked at my team for a minute before thinking of what it would be like to have two extra men working with us. Aurora moved her head signaling to go outside to discuss things. "We'll be right back." We walked out the front door.

I looked at the team that I have protected for the last year and a half and I've seen how much they've grown. They went from not wanting to work together because they had too much pride to relying on each other's strengths to help make the hunts smoother. Aurora became the leader without a vote because everyone always listened to her opinion. Aurora looks between all of us and then nods her head signaling that she wanted to hear the others thought about the new arrangement.

"I think it would be good to have some extra back up when you guys go on hunts because you've have had a couple close calls and we could help them too. It would also be good to have an extra hand doing some research. Plus Sam's quite handsome." Sophie said while blushing like mad. Noah laughed for a minute. "Well I wouldn't mind having some extra hands so that I can kill some more monsters." Aurora then looked at me curiously. "I wouldn't mind either. Charlotte, what do you think about working with the Winchesters and Cas for a while? I know you don't have a good relationship with Cas after everything that happened." As soon as she mentioned it everyone turned their attention towards me. I hated being the center of attention but they all looked really concerned. I wanted to tell them that I would rather just go back to our old routine but they would have went with my decision and I don't want to be the one that ruined everything for them. I have seen how close Sophie and Sam have gotten and don't even get me started on Aurora and Dean. It would just be wrong of me to decide for them. I sighed, "I think that it would be a good opportunity for you guys to work with them some more. You never know, you could learn a thing or two from them and vice versa." They all smiled and seemed really excited that they were going to have new hunting partners. I knew I made the right choice. As everyone was heading back to the bunker, Aurora stayed behind and grabbed my arm to stay behind.

Once they were out of ear reach, she looked over at me with a skeptical look on her face. "I know you and you really don't want to stay. Why would you choose to be so miserable?" I knew this was coming. She always knew me too well. I was really happy to see how happy Aurora and Sophie was with the brothers. "I gave up what makes me happy a long time ago. I'm just really happy that you and Sophie are happy. Don't give me the bullshit I know you are going to come up with to defend the fact that you seem hopelessly in love with one Dean Winchester. I want you guys to be happy. I was happy once but that ended. Now it's your turn to finally be happy." She looked at me with her mouth open ready to say something but she then shut her mouth and looked at me with the biggest smile i have ever seen on her face. "I am falling for Dean but I know his reputation so I'm not sure if I should be trying to see where things lead or just give up" I knew she was going to overthink what she is feeling. "Go for it. I have seen the way he looks at you and I know for a fact that he's into you just as much, if not more, than you are into him. He refused to take his eyes off you when you were singing he wouldn't take his eyes off you. Plus when he was walking off the stage and that slutty girl came up to him you could tell that he was not even close to interested in her. He really only have eyes for you. If you leave him I will personally send you to hell for a few days until you learn that he really cares about you." She looked at me like she was debating on seeing if I would really do that to her but I shifted my feet and cross my arm. She nodded her head in understanding.

"So how are you feeling about you and Cas in all honesty?" I was a little shocked at what she was saying. I already told her about what Cas said to me in my room when I went to bed but she hasn't mentioned anything until now. "I don't really know if I truly trust him enough to even try and try again. He said that he still loved me but I don't know." She gave me such a Bitch face.

"You say that I am good with Dean but you and Cas are perfect together. I have heard the way you speak about your past and sometimes when you talk to him you may put up your guard but your eyes will always give you away. You still look at him like you love him, which I know you do so why are you trying to deny what you really feel. Yes, he made a mistake once but he understands that what he has done was wrong to do. You really need to see how you he has seemed to change. He really loves you and wants to be with you. I talked to Dean about Cas and he said that when they first met he was happy but then after a while he started acting really cold. It was probably when he broke it off. Talk with him and sort thing out. You need to stop being so scared of your feelings, it will only hurt you in the long run. If you don't take chances what's the point of living?" She walked back inside the bunker while I stayed where I was letting everything she said sink in.

Aurora's P.O.V

I left Charlie outside to let her think things through. I swear she is going to be the death of me. She is my best friend but she is also stubborn and naïve. She never wants to take big risks because she scared of the repercussions. She really needs to start taking risks because Cas is truly in love with her and yeah he made mistakes but he understands that what he did was the wrong thing to do. I'm still mad at him for what he did to her but it's in the past now.

I walked into the war room and Dean ran over to me. "You guys are really going to stay and join us?" I nodded my head and a big smile emerged on his face. He hugged me and spun me around again. I really was happy with him. I was definitely in love with this badass hunter. Cas Walked into the room and looked around. "Where's Charlotte?" His face showed concern. I knew that he was working himself into a panic. I walked over to him and placed my hand on his shoulder. "Calm down. I was talking to her outside. She's still outside just thinking. She'll come inside when she's ready." He nodded his head and looked towards the front door. I look around to see that everyone looked exhausted. "Alright everyone. I say we should hit the hay for the night and go out for breakfast in the morning." They all agreed and walked off to their rooms while saying goodnight.

Charlotte's P.O.V

I was outside for an hour and a half before heading back inside. I notice that no one was around. They all must have gone to bed. I walked into the kitchen to grab a glass of water before going to bed myself when I saw that Cas was sitting at the kitchen table. He looked up and stood when I walked in and had a relieved look on his face. "I was worried that something happened to you. You were outside for quite a while." I looked at the man in front of me and thought about what Aurora said to me before she went inside. She did have a point. I decided to take a risk even if it scared me. I leaned over and kissed him.

He didn't move so I broke the kiss. "Goodnight Cas." Then I walked off to bed, leaving a confused Cas standing in the middle of the Kitchen.
