Chapter Fourteen

Charlotte's P.O.V

I woke up to Cas looking at me lovingly. My cheeks turned pink and I dove under the covers to hide. I looked so bad in the morning. My hair was probably suck up in a bunch of different directions and I was wearing a ratty shirt and shorts. I poked my head out to see that Cas was about ready to laugh so I took the pillow I was just laying on and hit him with it. I started laughing hysterically now which made me want to hit him with the pillow more but he held up his hands in surrender. I placed the pillow back where it was as he was trying to calm down.

"I'm sorry for that. I was coming in here to wake you up but you looked so peaceful that I decided to let you sleep longer but you woke up anyway. Dean made breakfast. Its eggs, toast, and bacon. When you're ready to come down." He kissed me and walked out of the room. I layed back down on the bed, staring up at the ceiling. I didn't have that dream last night of my past with Cas which was a blessing all in itself because now I feel like I've slept enough. I don't feel tired at all. I got up and took a shower and dressed in a pair of ripped jeans and a Panic! at the Disco shirt with black sneakers.

I walked into the Kitchen to see that Noah, Sam, and Sophie weren't in the kitchen. Noah was probably still sleeping like he always is at 10 in the morning. Sophie and Sam were either in their room searching for new cases or in the library doing some research on other monsters. Aurora and Dean were acting all lovey-dovey which was not something I am used to seeing. They are cute together but I wouldn't tell Dean that ever. He seemed like the person who you couldn't tell anything cheesy to without serious consequences. I grabbed a plate of food and sat down next to Cas. I looked around again before I decided that I really wanted to know where everyone else was.

"Hey, Dean where's everyone else?" He looked over from making the rest of the pancakes but Aurora was the one to answer the question. "Sam and Sophie are at the local library and Noah decided to got to the diner we went to yesterday most likely to see that girl that was there yesterday. He seems very smitten with her. You never know she might be really good for him if he lets her." I laid my head on Cas' shoulder and wrapped my arm around his. Aurora turned around and smiles at the little scene. I stuck my tongue out at her and I guess Cas saw because he kissed the top of my head while laughing.

Aurora's P.O.V

I swear Charlie is so childish sometimes. The best part is that Cas is too serious which makes them total opposites but as the saying goes 'opposites attract'. I looked over to see that Dean was also looking at the way they were together. He seemed to really think they were good. We decided to walk out of the kitchen to give them some privacy. We sat down on the couch cuddled together. "So Cas and Charlotte seem to be happy together. Cas never really told me what happened but when I first saw them together I noticed that she really couldn't stand being around Cas. Then I heard what happened and I understood why she was acting the way she was. I think they make a great couple though." Dean made a lot of sense. They were inseparable when they still were in heaven but then they broke up and acted so cold towards each other but now they are together and seemed very happy. I leaned over and kissed him. He was always so sweet to me which I loved.

"They finally pulled their head out of their ass and admitted that they still loved each other. I'm just happy that Charlie gets to be happy again. She tells us that we deserve to be happy but when we asked her about her being happy she always tells us that she was happy once but it didn't last so that was her time but now it's ours." I admitted to Dean. I have always known how much of a good friend Charlie was and to finally see her happy is great. She is always putting our needs ahead of her own but she never wants to be happy herself. I just wish that neither one of them screw it up.

Charlotte's P.O.V

Dean and Aurora walk out of the kitchen and I can tell that Aurora wants to give us some alone time. I finished my breakfast and washed the dishes. I heard footsteps coming through the kitchen and when I turned around it was Noah walking to head to his room. "How was your little breakfast with the waitress?" He blushed and started rubbing the back of his neck. He knew that if he left in the morning that it would get around the bunker on where he was. "Don't worry. I think that it's good that you are interested in this girl. My only concern is that I don't know if you are serious about her. She seems nice and you seem to like her. I just hope that you will let someone into that barricaded heart of yours." He walked over to me and hugged me. He stood back and said, "Thank you. I really am interested in her but I wasn't sure how any of you were going to feel about it. I'm really glad that you're okay with it. You are the best Charlotte." He walked away and off to his room. I looked over to Cas and followed him back to my room to relax and read a little before I undoubtedly get called to discuss a case. I hope that Noah and Nabirye get together because it would hopefully calm him down a little on hunts if he has someone to come back to. He might not be so reckless with wanting to kill everything in sight.

I was able to cuddle up with me between Cas' legs and read a couple chapters of To Kill A Mockingbird to Cas when Cas decided to interrupt to have a serious conversation. "I was wondering if I could stay in here with you at night. I know we are trying to get back into the way things were but I don't want to leave tonight. I want to be able to sleep next to you so that I can hold you tight and I want to wake up to your hair in my face as I'm cuddled behind you." I looked at him for a moment before thinking about what he just said to me. We don't really have to sleep, eat, or do anything humans have to but I love the normalcy of it. We had the choice in heaven to act like a human if we wanted and so some nights we ended up sleeping in the same bed when we wanted to sleep the night away. I really loved being in his arms. I always felt loved and protected from anything that might harm me.

"I think that if you wanted to you could sleep here with me. I don't mind. I really love you and I want to be with you." He leaned down and kissed me. A knock on the door made us separate and asked who it was. It was Dean telling us to stop swapping fluids and to get into the living room because Sam and Sophie may have found a case. I looked at Cas and kissed him one more time before getting up and joined the rest of the team. I notice that Dean and Aurora are sitting on the love seat curled together, Sam and Sophie are on the couch with Sophie on Sam's lap and Noah is sitting on the other side of the couch with a far off look. Cas walks over to the armchair and sits down. I figured he didn't want me to sit with him so I walked past him to sit between Noah and Sam when I felt arms wrap around my waist and pull me onto a lap.

Cas was completely content with me on his lap that if he were a cat he would be purring. Sophie sat up and looked focused when he let us know about the case. "There was a man in Nebraska who was killed in a locked room inside a locked house with no signs of forced entry." it sounded like a ghost to me but I wanted to know what the others were thinking. Aurora and Dean spoke together, "Sounds like a ghost." I looked at them and started laughing along with Noah and Sophie. That should not be allowed to happen. It's just weird. We finally calmed down and thought about the drive there. It was probably the shortest one yet with only 3 hours in the car. We decided to start tomorrow and make sure that we are all set.

We all went to bed early that night so that we could get there early enough to do a little digging before we went straight to the hunt. Sophie decided that she really wasn't needed for this hunt so she would stay behind. Noah tried to convince us that he should also so that he could keep an eye on Sophie when Cas stepped up and said he'd stay. I could tell that the only reason Noah wanted to stay was so that he could see Nabirye again. We just really need him when we go on hunts because he is a great hunter. I feel bad for him but I understand why we can't let him stay.

I go to my room and get ready for bed. I emerge from the bathroom to see Cas in bed with just pajama pants watching some tv show. As soon as he heard the door open he decided to turn the tv off. "Do you want to read to me more of the story and cuddle more until we go to bed?" I nodded and cuddled up to him, he handed me the book and I started reading.

I read a few more chapters before we were both yawning so we decided to put the book away tonight and to just go to bed. We ended up falling asleep wrapped in each other's arms.

Noah's P.O.V

I walked into the diner when it was around ten at night. I sat at the bar and ordered a cheeseburger and a beer. I needed to talk to Nabirye about me leaving for a couple of days. I was waiting while drinking the beer. She came over and dropped his food off and stayed for a little bit. "Twice in one day. You must really love the food here." She laughs. "The food is ok but my main interest is a certain waitress." She looks at me for a few moments before a smile appears on her face. "And who is this mysterious waitress that you really are interested in because I would love to see what I'm doing wrong." They both laughed at this. He grabbed her hand gently and kissed it. Apparently, I could be a gentleman when I wanted to be. "I am sorry but I have to go away on business. It might be a day or it could be a week. I wanted to let you know and I was wondering if I could get your phone number so that I can at least talk to you to let you know when I'll be back. I really do like you." She looked at me and grabbed a napkin and wrote her number while handing it to me. I was so happy that she seemed to like me as much as I like her. I finally feel like this could be my chance to finally be happy.
