Ruhi giggled. Then she yawned.
Raman: Sorry baby, go to sleep now thik hai, I'll send you updates.
Raman was determined to fix Ishita. He smiled and went downstairs. He entered his room to see it empty. He thought maybe Ishita felt awkward to be on the bed with Raman alone, which is why she was in Ruhi's room. As Toshi came to the kitchen to take water, she noticed that the lights in Ruhi's room were on. She entered and saw Ishita sitting down on the bed alone. She say beside Ishita and caressed her hair.
Toshi: Kya hua puttar? Why don't you go and sleep?
Ishita: Mummyji... Woh... Ruhi yahan nehi hai... So I'm sleeping here.
Toshi: Aisa mat kar puttar, don't leave my son alone please...
Ishita: Mummyji?
Toshi: He's not used to loneliness since young puttar. He used to sleep with Bhalla ji, then once married, Shagun, then Ruhi, and now both of you... He's afraid of loneliness, please don't leave him alone puttar...
Ishita: Aap... Aap chinta mat karo mein jaare hoom Raman ke paas...
Toshi: Good night puttar...
Toshi said as she walked out of the room and to be pulled into Simmi's room. Simmi shut the door and glared at Toshi.
Simmi: Mumma what are you doing??
Toshi: Oye meine kya kiya?
Simmi: I listened to the saas-bahu convo. What were you even thinking?? You know about Ishita then?
Toshi: I did the right thing, its time they moved on together puttar. It's a marriage, not some formal contract where everything is formal between them. Their shaadi wasn't a normal one but that doesn't mean it can never be normal.
Simmi: Haan par..
Toshi: I know you're worried because you're her friend, but mein ek maa hoon. I'm sure this would be a turning point for them. You go and sleep thik hai don't think too much.
Simmi: Hmm but mumma, if anything bad happens because of this, then I'll be really angry with you.
Toshi: Stay positive, Matarani will help my bache.
Ishita turned off the lights in Ruhi's room and took the pillow to walk to their room. She entered to see Raman watching Kuch Kuch Hota Hai on the TV. She always felt that movie was closely related to her. Like how junior Anjali brought Kajol and SRK close, she felt that Ruhi is the one that brought her and Raman closer. She closed the door and put her pillow on the bed then sat down. Raman was shocked seeing her on the bed with him. By looking at his face, Ishita could guess what Raman was thinking.
Ishita: Why are you looking at me like that? Oh you thought you could have the bed for yourself this week?
Raman: Hah? Ha- Haan...
Ishita: Then don't even think about it, I'll tell Ruhi and she'll give you a long lecture.
Raman: Hahaha Ruhi hamari bethi nehi
Ishita: Kya?!
Raman: Ruhi hamari daadi hai...
Raman said while laughing. Ishita laughed too. This was the first time they were laughing together. The movie ended and Raman turned off the TV. They adjusted in the bed and Raman turned off his lights after setting his alarm for the next day. He turned to see Ishita sleeping while hugging Ruhi's unicorn. He smiled and slept off looking at her.
The next day,
Raman's alarm rang and he woke up to see the other side of the bed empty. He saw the time and it was 9am. He went to shower and came out to see Ishita in the kitchen looking fresh and preparing breakfast. He smiled, took his phone and went out of the house.
