He removed the towel and saw his wife glaring at him. "Hayye rabba, what went into this Madrasan's brain now?", Raman thought while raising his eyebrows.
Raman: Ishita? Kya hua?
Ishita: It's all because of you
Raman: Huh? Maine kya kiya?
Ishita: I was sleepy just now, you made me go to the toilet and now I'm not sleepy anymore
Raman: Bas? That's all? Here I am trying to think if I committed a grave mistake
Ishita: Ab mujhe neend kaise aayegi huh?
Raman: Easy, go sit on the sofa in the balcony, I'll come in 5 minutes
Ishita quietly went to the sofa after taking her phone while Raman took out the mugs and started making coffee for the both of them.
Ishita: Raman!
Raman: Haan?
Ishita: Ruhi texted, she said she wouldn't be able to call at all, the line is very bad apparently
Raman: Acha? Okay tell her we miss her
Ishita: Woh toh karliya, but what are you doing?
Raman: I'm coming
He took the two mugs and kept on the table and went back inside.
Ishita: Arey what are you doing?
Raman: Ruk na
He brought the thick blanket and wrapped them sitting beside her on the sofa making Ishita giggle.
Ishita: Yeh what are you doing?
Raman: I used to do this with Roo when she says she's not sleepy but its bed time. I make coffee for me and milk for me
Ishita: Really? Then what else would you do?
Raman: We talk and laugh over the silliest things, then once she's asleep I carry her back to bed. It's like where we catch up on each other
Ishita: Feels nice na
Raman: Haan yaar, I'll tell her about how clients do the stupidest mistakes irritating me and she complains how this kid calls her chotu and chubby in her kindy
Ishita started laughing and Raman joined her.
Raman: Can you imagine, I would want to laugh out but I'll have to maintain a poker face while listening to her because once she got angry at me when I laughed
Ishita started laughing and once she calmed down, the hit their cups indicating cheers and sipped on their coffee.
Ishita: Bohot pyar karti ho na usse?
Raman: Haan yaar, she's been the one by my side. You know me being me, I'd go to office even when there is a function at home, but I chose to work from home until she went to kindy. I was just, just so protective when it comes to Roo

Raman: Mumma used to argue saying "Main 2 bache ki maa hoon khoteya" but then she gave up seeing me stubbon, Simmi and Papa straight up gave up on me
Ishita laughed and sipped more of her coffee.
Ishita: Sach mein you're really lucky, Mihika and I had an age gap, so like we couldn't really connect. And when I went off to London, the time zone made it worse
Raman sipped on his coffee and listened keenly.
Ishita: I couldn't really speak with anyone here because of the timing, and I'd be too tired after work. So I spent my time plucking teeth and in the balcony admiring the quiet city alone at night
