Escaping The Enemy

Steve was standing in Bucky's apartment while me and Sam were watching every move the police made. I called into the radio every time they got closer to getting into the building.

"Heads up, Steve. German Special Forces approaching from the south."

"They've set the perimeter."

"They're entering the building."

"They're on the roof. I'm compromised."

"5 seconds!"

"3 seconds!"

"Breach! Breach! Breach!"

I heard the sound of a grenade going off, looks like that's my cue, I jumped down waiting for the action to come my direction.

Bucky climbs up then runs along the corridor and leaps off the balcony. He tumbles down onto the lower roof of the neighbouring building where he finds his backpack. He picks it up and runs, however I run after him. Looks like Steve's plan took a left turn. A man pushes me over and then slams into Bucky knocking him down. I groaned but get back up I walk over and kick the cat looking thing off Bucky. The cat gets back up extending his fingers and sharp claws pop out. He comes running back pushing me out of the way, once again and attacks Bucky.

"Oh my god, seriously." this cat is really getting on my nerves.

"Sam, southwest rooftop." Steve says I mentally face palm I get backup after I get defeated.

"Who the hell's the other guy?" Sam asked, I replied "That makes two of us."

"About to find out." Steve leaps from the balcony down onto the neighbouring building as a helicopter files up. I get up watching Bucky getting attacked a soldier starts firing a machine gun from the helicopter. However, the ammo bounces off the cats armoured suit. I pulled the concrete up from the ground to make sure I didn't get hit from anything.

"Sam." Steve called out into the radio to Sam "Got him."

After I let the concrete fall back into its place Bucky breaks free from the attacker and runs off jumping down a level. I follow his actions ending up on the street with the chase continuing. Steve follows as well, he lands rolling along the ground and gets up to start running with me. There's another set of gunfire coming from the helicopter tearing up the pavement behind our steps.

"Looks like someone is eager to kill us." I shouted.

"Don't get too distracted, little one. We're almost there." Sam said.

"And what if we get caught." thinking of the worst case scenarios as usual.

"We won't get caught Alex." Steve says reassuring me.

"I hope so." I murmured.

Bucky jumps down again through an opening landing in an underpass running along all of the traffic. Me and Steve jump down followed by the cat still chasing after Bucky. Now thinking about it I'm so glad I trained to run long distances because little 10 year old me would run out of breathe every 10 seconds. A Special Forces vehicle pursues us calling out "STAND DOWN! STAND DOWN!".

The vehicle closes in with its blue lights flashing. Steve leaps onto the vehicle and smashes the windscreen and the driver stops. Steve yanks the driver from his vehicle fully kicking the windscreen out. I climb my way into the car through the windscreen and then drive off. A couple minutes into Steve's driving Bucky runs over the top of a speeding car outrunning it. I look behind me to find the cat not to far behind, he leaps onto the back of the car we're in.

"We've got company." I called out. Steve swerves from side to side trying to throw him off.

"Sam, I can't shake this guy."

"Right behind you."

More bright blue lights join the car chase, Steve ignores them and carries on driving straight ahead. Further up Bucky reaches a fork in the road and faces oncoming traffic he leaps over the barrier, while we drive through it. A motorbike speeds towards Bucky I close my eyes not wanting to see what happened next. I opened one eye finding him grabbing the handlebars I open my other eye to get a clearer view. He spins the bike around in midair, throwing the rider off. Ouch that must hurt, like a lot. He then gets on the bike riding away, we still managed to stay on his tail with the cat still holding on.

We enter into another underpass with Sam flying in following us, he has some interesting timing. The cat finally decides to leap of the vehicle and onto Bucky's vehicle. Bucky flings him over  his head the bike starts leaning down, he quickly uses his metal arm scraping across the ground to keep his balance. As Sam files further ahead the cat grabs onto Sams leg holding on he tries to kick the cat off but he doesn't budge.

Bucky throws a bomb which blows up the roof at the end of the underpass bringing down tons of rubble. The cat lets go of Sams leg and successfully attacking Bucky leading him to fall off the motorbike. Steve swerves again through the rubble, Steve leaps out pulls the cat away from Bucky. I jump out landing perfectly on my feet just as the car hits the road. Steve, the cat and I all stand facing each other. Armed police arrived surrounding us with their guns aimed.

"So much for not getting caught huh." I said mainly aimed at Steve.

Rhodey comes down from above raising both of his hands before speaking. "Stand down, now." Bucky stands beside Steve who puts his shield on his back and I'm stood in front of the cat glaring at him.

"Congratulations, Cap. Your'e a criminal."
