Enzo or Lorenzo was standing a few meters away from me, equally shocked and confused as I was. He started walking again with his cautious and sceptic eyes still on me and sat down on the seat next to mine.

This was hella awkward. I just had the desire to be swallowed by an earthquake right now. I didn't dare to look to my right and hid behind my short, still wet hair.

Mrs Warren's eyes lit up as she looked at the both of us, "Maybe you already know each other! Since you're both in the same grade."

At that statement I simultaneously looked anxiously at Enzo who already had his eyes on me. His damp wavy hair was plastered on his forehead as his eyes didn't hold any emotions. I gulped and looked nodding at Mrs Warren. Her smile just grew bigger and bigger.

The rest of the group seemed kinda bored by the annoying interruptions of us latecomers. Sometimes I would meet some of their friendly and curious gazes, which made my nerves skyrocket. One guy, who looked around my age, kept on staring at me like I was some raw piece of meat. When I sent him a glare, he just playfully winked at me. Weirded out I just ignored him.

Principal Warren loudly clapped her hands together to stop the rising murmurs, "Where did I again when I was so rudely interrupted by a certain Mr Lombardi," after sending Enzo a warning she continued, "first Livia here is going to introduce herself and then everyone else please does the same."

I sat back in my chair, my leg bobbing up and down. I crossed my arms, both hands gripping the upper part. I was still kinda cold despite the heating turned on to the max.

Everybody agreed and turned their heads to me. Mrs Warren nodded at me and I started, slightly uncomfortable, "Uh...well, I am Livia...Livia Meyer. I'm 17 and a senior in Lawfield High."

I paused not knowing what else to say till Mrs Warren urged me to continue with a supporting look.

"Um...I just moved to Lawfield a few weeks ago...to...uh live with my...father and his wife," I cringed at my pathetic blabbering.

I exhaled a breath of relief when Enzo surprisingly took his turn at the introducing game without any demands.

"I'm Enzo, short for Lorenzo Lombardi, as you all know. I'm 18 and a student at Lawfield High," Enzo's body language screamed of confidence. His hands were folded behind the head while sitting up of course and his face remained unbothered.

Next to Enzo an Indian-American woman was seated. She was dressed in a blue nurse outfit with her black straight hair in a strict bun. She looked very tired and sleep-deprived, probably as a result of the long and overtime hours underpaid nurses have to sacrifice.

Despite of her worn out façade her genuine motherly smile made me grin back, "Hello, Livia. My name is Sana Kumar and I'm 35 years old. I work part-time as a nurse in the newly built hospital in Lawfield and full-time as a mother of three."

Her native accent was identifiable as kindness radiated off of her. Just a smile from Mrs Kumar made the built up tension ease from me. The majority of it remained though because of a certain someone sitting next to me.

Her working at the same hospital as David and his wife made me wonder if she coincidently knew them. After all the hospital was very big equipped with many stations, one of them I was patient in myself but both were still two successful and well-known head doctors in Lawfield.

Seated next to her was a young Korean guy. He looked cute. Because of his stylish attire he was obviously blessed with a good fashion taste. He kinda resembled a potential member of a K-Pop band.
