"Ouch! Why did you do that?!" Dorian hissed in pain as he touched the spot on his torso, I just so gracefully injured him with my fist.
"Maybe that's how she expresses her love...?" Jayden guessed with potato chips in his mouth as the rest of the boys grabbed drinks and snacks to munch on. They just finished playing a few songs and returned to take a break in the backstage area.
"No that's how I express my anger," I said as I shot Dorian a deadly glare, "Why didn't you tell me that you actually don't suck?! You can actually sing dude!" I stated bewildered.
"Thanks for that revelation about my vocal cords. I thought me being in a band was proof enough," Dorian smirked as he threw himself on the couch with a drink in his hand.
I rolled by eyes and asked no one in particular, "Where is the restroom?"
"Next to the bar!" Knox replied as his eyes didn't leave his phone screen.
I nodded and left the backstage area. The bar was filled to the brim. The mixture of background music and loud chatter of mostly Waldoville High students made it hard for me to hear my own thoughts. I made my way through people and breathed out after arriving in the not so-crowded hallway, leading to the restrooms. Only a few kids were waiting for a friend or trying to communicate with each other in the quieter area. I rounded the corner in the search of the girl's bathroom as my eyes widened as a reaction of an unexpected scene.
Right before my eyes, Santos was making out with none other than...Isaac de La Cruz?!
Isaac as in Enzo and Nash's best friend who I had though had a thing with Maliah. Isaac noticed me from the corner of his eye and pushed Santos away immediately. We stared at each other both in shock.
"Li-Livia?! You...here?!" Isaac asked, out of breath. Santos just looked between us, highly confused.
I chuckled awkwardly and slowly made my way to the bathroom," I really need to pee." I quickly entered and finally let out the air that I was holding in.
After releasing the pressure on my bladder, I washed my hands, and opened the door to a nervous looking Isaac, waiting for me. Santos must have left because I could hear Dorian's voice again and all his fan girls' deafening screams as the boys continued the gig with their next song. Isaac was sitting against the wall with his head leaning against the wall. I sat down next to him.
"I'm gay," Isaac declared with his eyes closed as if he was afraid of my reaction.
I just looked at him," So what?"
He then chuckled quietly, and his eyes finally met mine, "Nothing. I just wanted to say it because I haven't been fucking honest to you guys and to myself, "He added with a quiet voice, "Only Maliah, Sofía and now you know."
"Are you afraid of what the guys might think? Because-"
"No, it's not that. They are like my brothers, I know that Enzo, Nash and Austin don't give a fuck about whom I date," Isaac stated with confidence.
"Then what is it then?" I asked carefully.
Isaac let out a sigh, "I don't know, I guess I don't want anything to change? Or I just don't want to be vulnerable in front of them. I have always been the strong one...when Nash lost his dad, or when Enzo battled one of the many hardships he had to face. I have always been there for them, always, no matter what. And now I feel like they will be angry with me because I waited so long to confess to them what I have been struggling for almost all my life with. Especially Nash since he probably thinks that I have a thing with Maliah."
