Memories
After that cheesy confession night with Jeremy, everything went back to normal. The group noticed the closeness I shared with Sky as they were shooting us with bemused stares.
"Finally. Someone stopped being a pvssy!" Ford blurted out.
"So, what's the deal?" Belle asked, raising her delicate brow.
"I am rarely interested in anything especially people's lives but I want to ask the same question as Belle." Roland said.
I looked at Sky as if I'm passing the responsibility of giving everyone answers to him. He seemed unnerved by the inquisition of the clique, they were determined to know about us. Even I, myself, don't know what we are though. We went on dates every weekend, our favorite venue was the park. Last week, we went to the arcade, he was sweet enough to give me a teddy bear.
"Well." Sky cleared his throat as if he was trying to articulate his thoughts about our relationship "We're pretty much like lovers but less than that." it was his only laconic reply.
"Hm." everyone hummed in unison.
"Oh, and I have news!" Rowena clasped her hands, her eyes shone in brilliancy "Roland had a date with ––" before she could continue, Roland threw a carton box of milk on her face.
"Ouch!" she groaned, massaging her temple "That's human violation." she wailed.
"Shut up." he was beet red, I noticed Belle being tacit, fidgeting her fingers. I wasn't dumb though, I knew they were flirting with each other, it started during the sports festival. I chuckled, eyeing Belle and Roland.
"It's obvious. Very obvious. You don't have to hide it, you aren't Romeo and Juliet." I quipped.
Our conversations convened, we were all teasing each other in chorus. I stifled a laughter, it was amusing to have a friendly sally with each other once in a while. Rowena continued teasing Belle and Roland whilst Clifford bombarded Sky with questions, he was blushing. I'm watching them, and soon, Ford came to me and jested random facts about Sky.
Everyone seemed high-spirited today.
When I woke up this morning, I received tulips and a box of chocolates. I know someone who likes giving me this type of stuffs, it was affectionate and sweet, this was one of the reason why no guy ever asked me out and I didn't mind. Too bad he had to migrate last year. Mom smiled at me as I saunter towards the bathroom, I have just finished taking a bath. I slip into my casual clothes and curled my hair. A lot has changed lately, I've been stylish and self-conscious.
I went to the dining room. Right now, we have bacon and egg for breakfast.
"He's back." mom informed me.
My lips curl into a smile. He rarely comes home here, I kinda miss him. I heard a knock on the door, I opened it, the blond boy appears wearing his charming smile. He waved at me and gave me a hug.
"Princess." he cooed.
"Hey, Justin." he stepped inside the house, giving my mom a greeting.
"It's been so long. I thought you got stranded in an island somewhere." I jested.
He chuckled "Miss me?"
I roll my eyes, crossing my arms "As if!" I jokingly said in retort.
He grinned as he wraps his arms around me, and I reciprocated his embrace.
After having a short conversation with Justin, I told him that I have to go to school. He wanted to drop me but I told him it's fine. It wasn't that far, I can go there by feet in just five minutes. As I walked by, I felt my head throb. Blurry images appeared in my thoughts, a figment of my memory, it felt painful to recall it. I pressed my palm on my forehead trying to ignore the ache. I halted for a while as it stings my head, when it subsided, I resumed walking.
