Future

Today is graduation day.

After dad and Clara's wedding, I was enrolled back to Dinesty. There, I spent my remaining 2 months as a high school student. The principal was considerate enough to accept me back again. Everything went well. Everything has changed for betterment.

Right now, I will be delivering my valedictory speech. I bagged so many awards. Meanwhile, Sky is the salutatorian.

When I came back, our popularity has somehow rose. Someone even made a fan club for us, the girls who were rooting for our relationship.

Someone patted my shoulder and smiled at me, I tilted my head to the side to see the person "Congratulations." said Demi sincerely.

Demi and I somehow became good friends, she wasn't really a bad person, she was just blinded by the idea that she was in-love. She apologized to me with all her sincerity. She became an additional to our clique. Belle had somehow managed to warm up to her easily. As what others claimed; Birds with the same feather flock together, Belle and Demi are the living proof for that mantra.

"I'm not really good with speeches, but I have to say something corny that'd somehow touch your heart, right? Like the ones you see in the movies." I jested as I tap the mic, everyone cracked into laughter. I cleared my throat and smiled as I reminisced how I spent my days in the academy, I let the words naturally flow from my mouth "This school changed my life. I've invested all the good and bad memories I had here. All of us had our moments, good or bad, they're all worth keeping. Right?" I paused. It wasn't a question, it was more of a fact, everyone nodded in agreement "Our life doesn't end here, it's just the beginning." I took a deep breath "Today, as I look at the sky above, I realized that world spreading before us is endless, we're just a small part of it. As we continue living in this journey called life, let's grow more and become something big. They say follow your dreams, but they're wrong, you have to chase it. We will travel in different paths, but we have one destination, and that is the road to happiness." I can see the students in the front row bursting into tears "We may face hardships but we must go on no matter what happens. We must tighten our grip to hope." from the corner of my eye, I see Belle and Rowena wiping their tears using their handkerchief "Although not everyone will succeed, but remember that there'll always be second chances offered by life called tomorrow. Let's keep moving forward!"

"We'll keep moving forward!" exclaimed the crowd in unison. Everyone stood up on their seats and expressed their applause.

As I got off the stage, Sky draped his arms around my waist and bent down to kiss me. It was a prolong one; I can feel his intense zeal. The moment our lips parted, I chuckled faintly "Wow, it seems like you haven't been kissed for a long time."

"Nothing wrong with kissing someone I miss so much." he reasoned.

Sky's family invited me to dinner. They were nice enough to allow me to bring my family along. I went with mom, dad, Clara and Ford.

The dinner has been going well, our families are somehow getting along.

"I was one of your patients before, Doctor Jansen." said dad to Mr. Jansen.
