Agony
JEREMY
"Please save her. Don't let her die." I pleaded, suppressing a sob.
I heard Faith's mom yelling, dashing toward the doctor "Where is she?!" she queried, tears were pooling in her eyes. The hopelessness and hurt was etched across her features.
"Her whole body was scathed, she had an extreme hemorrhage and she lost too much blood so she'll need a blood transfusion. She had also gotten a brain injury although it is not severe, she's still under observation. Right now, she's in a coma." informed the doctor.
Faith's mom began to bombard the doctor with question "I'll do the blood transfusion now, right? When will she wake up? She's safe right?"
I listened intently to their conversation. I decided to stay silent, right now I feel remorseful for what happened. If I hadn't chase after her, maybe she'd live, maybe she'd still be here with us. I blankly stared at the wall, in daze. Shedding my tears won't change this ugly reality.
"She has 60% chances of living. In regards to her awakening...that...we don't know..." he took a deep breath. From the corner of my eye, I saw the doctor placed his hands on her shoulders, the comforting gesticulation was followed by his solemn delivery of bad news "I'm gonna be frank with you Mrs. Evangeline, if she won't manage to wake up next month, her chances of living will decrease."
Mrs. Evangeline fell on her knees, sobbing in misery.
The doctor left the two of us alone. I crouched down beside her and hugged her "I'm sorry. It's my fault. If I didn't chase after her, this wouldn't have happened."
I don't wanna lose her. I want to see her smile again. I want to hear her boisterous laughter. I want to listen to her stories. I want to embrace her tightly in my arms. I want to kiss her. I want her to live.
If this is a bad dream, please wake me up.

When I heard my phone ring, I answered it immediately.
"Jeremy." I heard Ford mutter in the other line. I can feel the sympathy on his tone. It was out of character for him to use that tone. His manner of speaking becomes subtle every time he'd comfort me. Somehow, I feel kinda relieved, even just for a while.
"Ford."
"I heard what happened. Her dad told me about it. And right now, Rowena and Belle are crying. The rest of us will gonna pay her a visit soon."
"It's my fault." I said bluntly.
"No, it was an accident. Stop blaming yourself, brainless."
"I don't know anymore, man."
"Let's get wasted tonight like the ol' times. I'll meet you at the usual bar. See you at eight."
"Alright."

I went to the bar. The one where Ford and I usually come to. We often come here every time we talk about our problems.
It's noisy and the lights were dimly lit. Everyone was dancing and the music was so loud.
It's eight o' clock and there was no sign of Ford.
