14- Help For A Dress

"Hey, Pepper..." Skyler nervously starts, when she opens the door of Pepper's room.

"Skyler! How nice to see you here." The woman chirps when she sees the girl at the door.

"Yeah, right. Listen, I really need your help. I need a gala dress. My Hogwarts letter says that it's required this year. And I wanted to buy it with you and Nat, since it's my first ball or gala and my mother isn't here..." Skyler says shyly. Pepper gives her a sweet smile and nods.

"Well, let's go to the mall, then. I'll fetch Tony's credit card, do you fetch Natasha?" She asks Skyler conspiratorially. Skyler grins and nods, running off fast.

"I think we have the best chance here." Pepper says as they walk through the mall of New York. She points to a huge dress shop.

"Do you already have a dress in mind, Sky?" Natasha asks, clearly not really happy to be stuck in a dress shop for the rest of the day.

"Actually, I have. I've looked on Pinterest for ideas, and I found this picture..." Skyler starts, taking out her phone, searching for the picture through her Photos.

"I want something like this. I want it to look like I'm a princess, but not to overdone. I don't want it to be notable for I really don't like to be in the spotlights with a ball." She explains.

"Well, let's get to work then." Pepper says, as she claps her hands together. Immediately, she runs off to get the best kind of dresses a girl could wish for.

"God, safe me." Skyler hears Natasha whisper. 

"Ahh, please, Nattie, for me?" Skyler whines. Natasha shoots her a dangerous look.

"We'd agreed to never call me that again. Ever imagined why I'm called The Black Widow?" She growls.

"Alright, calm down. Just teasing. We're just going to leave Pep to it. I mean, how long can it take to pick a dress?" Skyler assures her, finding a seat for Natasha to take.

"I didn't know it'd take this long to pick a dress!" Skyler hisses annoyed. After three hours, they still hadn't found a dress.

"Don't say I didn't warn you." Natasha hisses back.

"No you didn't!" Skyler yells.

"YES!" They heard a high voice scream through the shop. Pepper.

"Sky! I've found it! I've found you the most perfect dress!" Pepper shrieks as she walks out of one of the corners of the shop. She's holding a soft blue dress. It's indeed, the most beautiful dress Skyler had ever seen.

"Pepper I love it!" Skyler chimes as they rush to the changing rooms. Skyler changes really fast, not in the mood to wait. She throws the curtains open and walks outside.

"Skyler, I agree, this is the dress. You're going to look beautiful, even if you don't want to be seen, you will." Natasha says, standing up from her seat.

"So, when we've found your dress, can we please go?" She adds, growling.

"Yes, Nat, we can. I need to pack anyway, for I leave tomorrow..." Skyler tells her, before changing back.

"So, how did the dress shopping go, ladies and Skyler?" Tony chirps happily when they return. Skyler sticks her tongue out to him.

"I swear to the Gods, Tony, once I find a legal way, I'll kill you..." The demigod growls. Tony chuckles.

"You're sounding way to much like your uncle for my liking, Skyler. Don't forget, this is my Tower." The billionaire tells her.

"And don't you forget, that I let your daughter live in my house. So, behave like a good mortal and don't kick me out, please." Skyler quickly adds, her wit leaving her as she realises that she indeed sounds like Loki.

"Look, that's better!" Tony exclaims, laughing. Skyler laughs too.

"No matter how annoying you are, Tony, I'm going to miss you when I'm at Hogwarts. I'm going to miss all of you!" She says, slightly emotional, as she hugged Natasha, Pepper and Tony.
