☆Chapter 12☆

~Sabina's Pov~

Slowly I started opening my eyes only to close them shut again,because of the bright light coming from someone's flashlight.

I tried to raise my hand in order to shield my eyes and make the person who was blinding me with that bright light go away,when I realized I couldn't.

I forced my eyes to stay open trying my best to ignore the light.

I hazzely looked down at my hands and body to see that I was tied up to a hospital bed.

I started tugging furiously at the bindings that were constricting my movements and then I began frantically moving my body trying to break free,but the restraining ropes seemed to tighten every time I moved.

It was like they were alive and could sense even the slightest movement I made.

I heard the door open and someone entered the room and the person that until a couple of moments ago was holding the flashlight in front of my eyes exited the room in a hurry, like he would get punished if he didn't move fast enough to get out.

In the meantime I was trying to adjust to the rooms light,to clearly see the face of the person who was now sitting beside me on the bed I was tied too.

After a couple of seconds of total silence he spoke:

"So...you've finally decided to wake up Sweetie?!"

"Mike??!!!Is that you?Is that really you?!" I asked shocked at hearing his voice.

He just noded his head confirming what I asked him and I continued...

"How can that be?It's impossible!You died?!I saw you die.I-I remember clearly how your heart stopped beating. We tried to do everything that was in our power to save you,to bring you back to life,but we weren't able too and that's...that's when we knew...I knew that you were...dead."

"What are you talking about?Are you feeling alright,because what you just said doesn't make any sense?!In fact you seem a little pale to me.Maybe you should rest a little bit more."

He said and took out a needle from the bag he had with him and came near me,to inject me with whatever that liquid was.

I decided to try and make small talk so that I didn't get that injection.

"Mike,don't you remember?You got the injection and then you died.It happened 15 days before I could get my powers at the hospital where we were locked and experimented upon for a long time!We...me,my friends and the other kids that survived without getting the injection escaped from the hospital building.Even though during our escape the building got destroyed and your dead body got buried underneath it's ruins,in the morgue."

I said and what he said next shocked me:

"I never died and there never was a building that got destroyed so stop lying!Omg,I can't believe that what they told me about you is true.They warned me that you'd try and say something like that."

"Warned you?!Who!?Who told you I could say something like that?"

I asked him,even though I had a pretty good idea as to who those people were.

"The people that found me and helped me." He answered short.

I couldn't believe that those monsters got a hold of him.

"Can you tell me what happened next?
Did they do anything to you?Did they inject you with something?"

I kept asking him and surprisingly he answered saying:

"I never died.I was just hurt especially  emotionally, because you weren't there next to me.Because you never came to see me like you did before. You weren't there when I needed you the most.But besides that the only thing that kept me going was the simple fact that you love me and that you had to have a really good reason for not showing up when I got sick and was fighting for my life in the hospital all alone.And yes they did give me some injections but it was so that I could get better."

While he was speaking the restraining ropes kept tightening more and more after every sentence and they got so tight to the point that I couldn't help the yelp of pain that escaped out of my lips.

That caught his attention and the ropes loosened up a little.

"I'm really sorry Mike.I had no idea that you were alive,but why are you keeping me here?Why don't you free me so we can get out of here and go meet the others,huh?They'll be happy to see you."I told him smiling faintly.

"I can't do that,not yet.I have direct orders not to let you go.Besides I won't let you get away from me until you become mine legally,emotionally and physically."He said giving me an evil smirk.

When he said that my eyes widened and I tried to move again.

"Mike,can't you see that those people are manipulating you?They don't care about who you are or if you have feelings as a human being,they care only about themselves."

I yelled at him while still trying to break free from the ropes.

I so wanted to get out of this place as fast as possible.

I tried several times to use my powers, but it wasn't working.

It was as though I was human again, but how is that possible.

"What have you done to me?Why can't I use my powers?!" I screamed at him.

"Shh Sweetie!It's okay.You're safe here with me.You don't need to access your powers,because I'll protect you. Now Sweetie,you need to relax so you can get better quickly okay?Let me help you relax.!"

He said and came near me again with the needle in his hand.

"What do you think you're doing?!
Don't you dare come any closer with that thing." I said and tried to move a bit away from him.

"Everything is going to be alright, I'm just giving you a sedative so that you can rest well."He said while getting closer until he injected me with a really strong sedative.

Before I could get lost into unconsciousness again I said:

"Before you died,I liked you only as a friend.You were like a brother to me. We were never more then friends and that will never change.And to make something clear to you.I-I am not your 'Sweetie'..ne-never was and never will be.I despise the kind of person that you've become."

I was barely able to finish what I wanted to say to him and sooner then I expected darkness consumed me once again and I fell into a deep slumber.
