☆Chapter 23☆

~Jaebeom's Pov~

The guards took me out of the room where my mate was locked up,down a few stairs and they locked me up in a dark room.

It was so dark I couldn't see a thing, but I could hear someone's heavy breathing.

"Who's there?" I asked,but got no reply.

I was standing by the door trying to find the light switch.

When I finally found it and turned the light on,in an instant I turned around to see who was in this dark room and I got scared out of my mind when I saw a monster of some sort in front of me.

The creature let out a loud roar that made my blood run cold.

'What have these people done?'

'What have they created?

I thought to myself, as I was trying to open the door of the room to leave, before the creature broke it's chains and ate me alive,but with no success.

Suddenly I started getting dizzy and my body felt like it was on fire and I lost consciousness.

~Annabelle's Pov~

As I was walking down the hallway towards the room where my mate was, I heard Mike talking and giving orders to the guards.

"After you get him out of that room, send him downstairs and lock him up in the room with James." Said Mike with hatred.

"But sir,you said you'd set them free?" Asked one of the guards.

"Have you forgotten who saved you from becoming James's food,because if you did I can always remind you?" Mike threatened the guard.

"Sorry sir."Whispered the guard and I could clearly hear the fear in his voice.

"Now do as I said.They're all supposed to die tonight before midnight, before my wedding with my mate."Said Mike with a wicked grin on his face.

He gave the guards the final instructions on what they were supposed to do with the people that were locked up and then he headed my way to leave the basement.

I quickly hid in the closest room and as I was quietly listening for his footsteps to fade away,I heard someone call my name.

"Annabelle?!"

I turned around to find Sabina's friends chained up.
